it actually scares me when people like "THE SCIENCE!!!! THE SCIENCE!!!!!" and then the "science" in question is one study conducted in 2013 with a sample size of 22, a dropout rate of 30%, and it has never been replicated. like oh my god research literacy needs to be part of our general education so bad because what the fuck is going on guys

Bossk and Boba Fett is hilarious. Bossk, having no idea about human needs and is just born able to survive, raising the Boba Fett, who can kill a man in many ways while also being a pre-teen and very traumatized, is just such a funny concept.

Their shenanigans would be legendary. Their trying to navigate their familial relationship while being business partners only really bound together by a dead guy.

Anyway some headcanons now:

Jango took Bossk (only Bossk) to Kamino to meet Boba several times over the years

Bossk, who was friends with Jango for a while, was/is very out of his element with Boba is every way

Their first meeting when Boba is a baby goes like the meme, 'wanna beer?' 'hes a baby!' 'idk, what am i supposed to do with him!'

The second time they meet, Boba is four and at the age where fear is not a thing so he, after staring at Bossk silently for 5 mins, asks 'what do different species taste like? what do *i* taste like?'

Bossk did actually explain everything and Jango was a def taken aback

They meet several more times and Bossk has looked after Boba on an occasion or two

At some point Jango tells Bossk that if something were to happen to him, Boba should stay with Bossk and he has an account set up with money to pay Bossk for doing so

Bossk does accept this and Jango hands a communicator with only Boba's number, he carries it with him at all times, and they don't mention it again

Bossk gets a call on it and heads to Geonosis

During the whole thing with the Endurance, Boba and Bossk decide on Florrum that they don't want this kind of heat and leave Aurra there

Over the course of many years, Bossk becomes Boba's uncle(?) figure

Bossk teaches Boba how to effectively kill Wookies and some Trandoshian weak points which do come in handy on jobs

The first time Boba kills a Wookie alone, Bossk is very proud and keeps it in his trophy room

The Slave 1 is usually left with Hondo during their jobs unless they need more firepower because the upkeep is a little more than they can afford and still make profit (tho as the jobs get more advanced they use the Slave 1 more)

They do get arrested and end up on Coruscant for a short period where they end up owing Stone for sorta letting them escape (there was a massive riot and Stone had priorities)

Bossk does enjoy scaring people from time to time through looming over them

Bossk, being a member of the bounty hunters guild, is able to sponsor Boba for his own membership. However, Bossk makes it clear that Boba has to earn the other requirements on his own skills

_____ The caf machine gurgled. Hacking up grounds and its plastic vibrating slightly as water was pushed through its filter. The brown sludge, diluted and gritty with grounds too fine to be caught by the flimsy filter, no matter how often it was changed, dripped down into the caf pot. It was already half full and only slowly filling with the weak stream of caf from its spout.

Spittle had been eyeing it for the past 15 minutes, having been the one to start this pot. his shift was nearing closer and closer yet, his mug remained far too clean and empty.

See, as a lieutenant, Spittle knew the rules. He was the first one in their recreational-slash-break room, and so, he was obligated to start the first pot of caf. He was also privileged to the second cup of caf today. The first, no matter how much he itched to grab the pot and finally stave off some of this exhaustion, was reserved for whichever commander managed to force their way to the caf machine first.

It hadn’t been such a big deal for the first year of the guard, but a few too many caf induced burns by exhausted troopers prompted a rule from Commander Fox. He had said that they, the commanders, could at least be trusted to be punctual and calm over the beverage.

Spittle’s eye twitched as the clock above the door ticked on. 16 minutes had passed. He knew damn well both Commander Stone’s and Commander Fox’s shifts started at the same time as him.

The metal door finally slid open. Eyes flicking down from the clock and Spittle was privileged to the sight of Commander Stone elbowing Commander Fox right in the cheek. 

He let out a surprised laugh as Stone forced his way in front of Fox with the action, thundering steps carrying him to the caf pot. It let out one last shutter, the sludge coming to a stop as Stone grabbed for the pot, attention pulled away from it as he opened the cabinet above the pot, pulling a white mug off of the middle shelf.

Commander Fox leaned up against the counter, foot tapping against the ground, arms crossed against his chest, and glaring daggers into Stone’s back.

“Gonna survive, C’mander?” Both Fox and Stone swung their heads to look at Spittle as he spoke. Fox had tensed, letting out a sigh a moment later. Stone just smirked and finished pouring his caf, lingering in front of the machine as he blew across the steaming liquid before taking a sip. They all learned to choke it down, no matter how hot, at some point.

“Probably. Hurry up trooper.” Fox waved to the machine as Stone stepped away, slouching into himself as he did so.

Nearly leaping out of his seat, mug in hand, he stepped over to Stone. Finally handed the pot, barely holding his mug over the counter, he filled it up. Slotting the pot back into its place on the machine, he held his mug with two hands, taking the time to inhale the sweet, sweet scent of liquid energy. About damn time.

they do set him up but everytime Jason has to make up an excuse that isn't 'i'm married' and they get weirder everytime. He could say 'my night job' but no its 'i planned to make homemade pasta sauce that night.' It's become a competition to see how far they can push it before anyone realises.

Jason and Roy put up several photos of the three (Jay, Roy, and Lian) do various FAMILY activities and not one person has noticed.

Alfred does a simple 'congratulations' out of knowhere but the look in his eye said 'i know.' Jason didn't even have to bribe him to keep quiet.

Roy has it so much easier and is so much more obvious. Everytime he has something he REALLY doesn't want to do and can't use hero work he'll say "Jason and I have plans tonight."

The joke has been going on for a year at this point and the joke hasn't lost its touch.

Roy and Jason got married in Vegas. It was after a mission and they had just been laying around in their hotel room and kinda joking about being in Vegas and not doing anything, and how they had seen so many people on their honeymoon there, and then they joke about people getting married in Vegas and how even Jason, with his minimal existing paperwork, could do it, and Roy goes really quiet for a moment before he says "we should get married"

"what"

"This is one of the only places where you can easily get married without all the hassle and for it still to be legally binding. we should get married"

"Is this your way of proposing to me?"

"Maybe? Yes"

"....okay, sure, let's get married"

And so they do. The thing is, it's been years now, and they still haven't told anyone.

The Coruscant guard knew how to dress because of the scandals and senators. So they see their brothers and are like ‘you can’t wear that, it’s not in.’

Some teach how to dress, some let them suffer.

Everytime i read an AU where the war ends and the clones get rights and everything i cant help but wonder how they would dress.

You have these guys who have literally NEVER had to dress themselves. There were always uniforms and they have primarily been around clones and jedi and then the war is over and they just have to start?? Wearing normal clothes??

I feel like this scenario would end in some of the most horrendous outfits the galaxy has ever seen. Just millions of very very badly dressed men.

Kesett Modern AU Headcanons:

Boba is the youngest of his fam, with his dad being Jango then goes Cody (married to Obi, both 26), Bly 25 (married to Aayla 25), Ponds 24, Wolffe 22, Fox 22 (married to Quinlan 24), Rex 20, Boba 18 (other clones are 1st cousins)

Cal and Boba were 16 when they met each other

All Mandalorians live in a community, kinda like Arabic Communities, just sprinkled around with Mandalorian Shops nearby and some neighborhoods with large groups of them

They all know each other and talk/gossip, especially about the younger Gen.

Because of this, Boba keeps his social life away from all that

Cal attends the same high school and they share a few classes (that’s how they met)

They both went to a party, got high, and made out/mostly talked in the backyard for several hours

The Monday of school, Boba asked Cal out on a date and they’ve been together ever since

They both really like each other but Boba keeps it a secret from his fam (Cal’s fam knows and have met Boba)

They are able to keep it a secret for a long time with the help of their friends

Bobas family have met Cal but under the pretense of being friends

At first they kept it a secret because they didn’t know how serious they were. When they were ready, it was hard to bring it up

Cal is adopted by Jaro Tapal, who isn’t home during the week due to work, but he is home on weekends

Boba and Cal are eventually caught by Bossk, Boba’s other father (not in a relationship with Jango but Jango needed help and Bossk was there a lot)

Boba and Cal were kissing outside of the school at the end of the day and Bossk went to pick Boba up (Boba’s car was being borrowed by Wolffe) and Bossk came too early

Bossk is like ‘okay why do I care’ and doesn’t tell anyone bc he thinks Boba’s panicked face is funny

Bossk’s condition for keeping it a secret is that he gets to be there when Boba tells everyone

It ends up during a large family party (a lot of relatives are there, not his brothers spouses, just his brothers), one of Boba’s cousins who hates Boba asked about Boba’s boyfriend at the table, like everyone knew

He pretended to be shocked that Boba hadn’t told anyone (he eavesdropped on them talking about dates and sneaking out)

You could hear a pin drop

It was quickly a brawl between the two, with Boba winning via breaking his nose

He ran out with his brothers clamoring after him, stopping when his father came into the yard and yelled at them

Boba ended up at Cal’s place, spending the night there

Both of them went over the next day, to introduce Cal quietly

Unfortunately, all his brothers and their partners were still there so it was more

Boba walks in and calls for his dad, everyone peaks out to see them, Cal pales and tries to walk out, Jango seats them all away and talks to the boys outside

it goes pretty well, Jango likes Cal but doesn't give him the shovel talk because Cal already looks like he's about to keel over and die

Jango doesn't pity him enough to save him from his children and has Cal go inside while talking to Boba outside

Cal looks traumatized after that and has yet to say a word without seeming like it was under duress

The whole night goes well but no one really *knows* anything about cal by the end of it

Fett Fam: we aren’t that intimidating, whys he so afraid? Cal: *inside his head* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA but also Boba asked me to be here so imma do my best :D but also AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

It isn’t until a few more meetings that they actually start to get to know him

Unfortunately, due to his fam knowing, Boba and Cal are more limited in their dates (and other more intimate activities, tho no one knows about this)

Bad to worse when a month or so later Rex walks in on them making out that’s more bordering on having sex with clothes on

Cue the ‘use protection talk’ that turns into ‘you’ve been doing this how long’ to ‘my baby brother is innocent and is a baby!’

So now they are limited to any fun activities outside of either home which has caused problems but they deal

Cal has a chance to meet the Fett family spouses during a family dinner turned storm hideout for the weekend

It was raining hard and supposed to be bad but as dinner continued the power went out and the streets were undrivable so no one could get home

Cal bonded surprisingly well with Aayla Obiwan and Quinlan and they eased him about being a part of the family

Despite being introduced to both families, they keep it rather private and just between them

A few weeks before leaving for college, both families decide to have a whole get together to meet (though Boba limited them to just his direct family, no cousins or aunts/uncles)

Cal and Boba are nervous but Jaro and Jango do the ‘dad’ thing and talk shop about whatever dads talk about and that eases everyone

To no one surprise, they get married after college and move into an apartment an hour from Jango’s home

They use Mandalorian traditions for the wedding, gifting knives, the vows, and exchange arm cuffs worn on the upper arm (instead of the vambrance, a modern substitute. Cal gets a set of armor later.)
