It's been bugging my brain, and that's why I asked, as an AceSpec Person, it is much help!

my headcanon being Aceflux/AceSpec Kaneki and many of my characters being Aromantic or Asexual or on the A-Spectrum it's very helpful and scratches my brian well <3

How does Asexuality affect a ghouls' heat? Like if they are on the AceSpec does heat affect them at all?

Do they just not go through it at all, are the symptoms/affects not sexually but more romantically or sensually?

Do AceSpec Ghouls/Half-Ghouls exist/is it it possible for one to be on the AceSpec?

Acespec ghouls!

Just like humans, there are a variety of ways ghouls experience attraction, and the lack of it is no different. There are just as many ace and aro ghouls as humans

Unfortunately, they have some more things to deal with than humans do. Namely heat cycles and pheromones. They get effected by these same as anyone else because, unlike attraction, these are purely biological. And it is miserable. Heats are bad enough for allo ghouls, but ace ghouls have a whole other layer of shittiness. Their bodies respond the same, and some ace ghouls who aren’t sex repulsed will even have partnerships agreed on with friends for it just to appease the instincts, but those who don’t want that generally deal with it alone

For the most part though, aroace ghouls are accepted without issue. There’s some confusion with other ghouls as is to be expected, many thinking that they’re simply So Good At Defending Territory That They Aren’t Even Letting A Mate In, but there isn’t the same culture of marriage and romance that makes it an issue as it does with humans

In ghoul culture, relationships are less strict and defined. It’s common for ghouls to be polyamorous or not in relationships at all, and there are a lot of undefined dynamics that don’t fit into the human definition of a partnership. There are aro and ace ghouls who have romantic or sexual relationships with one or multiple partners, as well as some who would prefer neither. Since allo ghouls have plenty of relationships like these, it’s not uncommon for ghouls to go their whole life without being fully aware they’re ace or aro because the types of relationships they want or don’t want are considered completely normal

I like the idea of Kakuja/Half-Kakuja play fighting.

This entire idea happened because of a cute dream of Centipede and T-Owl getting caught play fighting on camera or something.

Headcanon: Agender/Genderfluid, they/them and it/its but he/him is okay sometimes, she/her is good, more often, as well.

(This is mostly a 'Sasako needs more attention' thing, cause they kinda just glazed over how good Haise was at it. So I have a feeling they crossdressed/dressed femininely prior to that) []

Dream goes as this:

Someone is watching through a camera or something.

Centipede is sitting on top of a tower of some kind, it has a large square and flat top and it's all white. The towers isn't outside, it's inside of like a circle of some kind. There are other towers that line the walls just like it, in a circle, with a spiral staircase in the center with walkways leading to the square towers.

(I think this might be Coaclea, but I'm unsure; I've only seen the anime and that was 2-4 years ago.)

Their tails/rinkaku kakuja are kinda sprawled out behind them. They are clearly looking down at something, watching.

When T-Owl comes up over the edge behind them, very sneakily. He wanders close enough to Centipede finally, before gently (though at the beginning they didn't know that) biting one of their tails, making a noise similar to a puppy trying to play.

Centipede flips around, clearly caught off-guard, while hopping up into a mildly defensive pose. They are crouched down, on all fours, watching T-Owl.

T-Owl chirps/sneezes.

Centipede does it back, before tackling T-Owl.

They duke it out in a similar way to both cats and dogs. Occasionally bitting each other, not aggressively or sexually but playfully.

Just nipping at each other.

Just playing together. The CCG won't admit this.

Until, accidentally, T-Owl bites them too hard and ends up actually hurting them. While it heals almost instantly, Centipede still yipes and leaps away from T-Owl.

T-Owl, recognizing what he did, purrs as he gets closer to Centipede. To any outsider this would look like T-Owl is trying to lure them into a false sense of security, but to other ghouls/half-ghouls he's clearly apologizing. Saying "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to." purely by action.

T-Owl gets closer to them before nuzzling into their jaw with his beak, quietly chirping to them until they chirp back. Both recognizing his apology and their exception of that apology.

Centipede purrs.

T-Owl purrs.

They just sit there for a minute, calming each other down. Just affectionately chewing on each other. (Like dogs and T-Rexes, called craniofacial biting)

-Until an incredibly high-pitched and loud alarm goes off and spooks them both.

My Own Personal Additions:

Juuzou starts writing and drawing on Kaneki when he's overwhelmed or stressed or anything of the sorts.

Kaneki calls them his kids, it happened through one joke and then became this 'close friend joke' that only they get. (Because of the suspenders and belt hcs)

Juuzou explores more make-up, all of it, they eventually get incredibly good at it before teaching Naki how to.

Naki and Juuzou eventually convince Kaneki to try make-up. Turns out Kaneki loves dramatic eyeliner, but, likes soft make-up otherwise. (eyeshadow, lipstick, etc.)

They/He Juuzou!

(eventually) Genderfluid/Ask prns Kaneki.

Naki. Just Naki. Just a vibe on his own.

I’m envisioning it right now. Juuzou-Naki-Kaneki friendship! (...i’m not too far fetched, am i?)

This would have to happen after ghouls get decriminalized, but these three would make good friends

Juuzou already knows Kaneki since Hide introduced them, and Naki knows Kaneki from ghoul stuff, but Ken made the mistake of hanging around with both of them at the same time and they immediately hit it off

Juuzou is used to humans being creeped out by him for being generally weird, and Naki is used to ghouls not liking him for being over emotional, so they form a strange little bond over it. Naki will loudly and publicly threaten people who are mean to Suzuya

Naki and Juuzou are high empathy and low empathy respectively and when together, they almost balance each other. When one reacts too much or too little to something, the other is socially inept enough to just come right out and say the specific thing the other is doing wrong instead of neurotypically dance around it. Where Ayato would have yelled at Naki, Juuzou just says “When you cry outside people don’t like that so you should do that somewhere else, come on I know an alley,” and that actually works. Shinohara is amazed that he can try to explain that he shouldn’t grab people for days but all it takes is Naki saying “don’t touch unless I say you can or I’ll bite you” for him to get it

When Kaneki is with both of them it’s mostly just him trying to stop them from committing crimes. On their own they’re chaotic enough but together they become a positive feedback loop of bad ideas. On more that one occasion he’s grabbed onto Juuzou’s suspenders and Naki’s belt with his kagune like a leash

It took awhile of hanging out with them for Naki start thinking about how they seem... nicer than Jason. He talked with Ken about Oomori, and they both shared their experiences with him. Turns out he wasn’t good to Naki either, but he was Naki’s first big emotional connection and took advantage of that. Now that he has some better friends, he’s working through that, trying to unpack his time with him and understand what things Jason did that were actually parts of a healthy relationship and which parts were not. Kaneki is pretty good at helping him with it

Naki stims by tapping the tip of Koukaku against surfaces, and Juuzou has picked it up, using pens and sticks in place of the kagune

Ken has been trying to show Naki how to read, but he gets frustrated really easily when he doesn’t understand things so it’s been slow.

Juuzou and Kaneki asked about Naki’s eyeshadow, Juuzou because he doesn’t know what it is and Ken because he doesn’t know how he got it, and finds that apparently he’s been rubbing ink out of old magazines for the pigment. That’s probably not good for his skin so Kaneki got him some cheap makeup so he would at least not give himself dermatitis. The next day Ken finds both Naki and Juuzou wearing it, they boys have a new shared interest and Suzuya keeps looking at himself in reflections because it turns out they can both rock it
