I love this movie, and this character, but if I’m being honest I really wanted a ‘Q’ character because I’m getting close to making the whole alphabet with my daily sketches. I still need characters for I, N and Y if anyone has suggestions!

This is one of my favourite shots from the whole movie (I’ve been obsessing over the opening sequence for weeks - the song and the emotions are just so good every time!). Its a stupidly subtle thing, but the way he lifts the baby up and then just dramatically holds it there, and then the wind blows to reveal this gesture and silhouette extremely clearly like he has made his choice and the audience realize for a second time even more clearly just what he is doing. It’s just. UGH, IT’S TOO GOOD.

Okay but Clopin from Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame is lowkey so funny because at the beginning of the movie he’s like “gather around kids I’m going to tell you the story of the local bell ringer who was orphaned, abused, neglected, locked away for most of his life, and mistreated by society because he was born looking different isn’t that so sad? 🥺🥺🥺” then in the middle of the movie he’s like “oh yeah I almost personally killed this guy one time when he did nothing wrong lol oops 😋”

sure the 3D scenes are stunning and all, but when we watched this the other night, these shots really stood out too. The way he pulls his cheek around his face is unbelievably nicely done

Shut up. I'm going to stop you there. You're wrong. If the words coming out of your mouth are not "Hunchback of Notre Dame" you're just going to look stupid. You got the choir hitting every goddamn note that humans can produce. You got chanting in Latin. The fucking bells. The full orchestra going as if Alan Menken would systematically come after their families if they didn't play harder. If those 15th century bitches in the film could actually hear the score playing in the background they'd all shit themselves and be on their knees venerating god. Frozen fucking who

i downloaded a million procreate brushes and decided to try oil painting. i had a bunch of work to finish, but i just couldn't fucking resist. "the hunchback of notre dame" cracked me up again when i wasn't expecting it. you have no idea how much i love this cartoon, so i decided to dedicate this art to one of the most beautiful songs in this movie.

and now i'm off to finish the rest of wips…
