At this point I now longer know what this is about, but I think the lack of organization gives me a special touch

People, Cole Would 1000% Support Anders.
People, Cole would 1000% support Anders.
Not for the fact that Cole is a spirit of compassion and Anders is a man who has faced plenty of horrors and is just trying to do right.
No, Cole would support him because he is canonically pro mage and Anti-Circle.
The original Cole, not the Cole that we know, was a young mage, brought to the White Spire and abandoned in the dungeons, where he died of starvation. The Cole we know, the spirit of compassion, took great pity on the original Cole and assumed his identity as a way to give him a chance to live.
He acted as a spirit of mercy to the mages in the White Spire, ending their lives when the beatings from the Templars became too brutal to handle and the only chance at release was death.
He fought beside the mages when the White Spire rebelled. He slaughtered Templars who had been abusive to their charges, even going so far as calling himself a demon as he did so.
His contact on his War Table requests, Rhys, is a mage and his best friend. Evangeline is Rhys’ lover, a former Templar who also fought beside the mages during the rebellion.
Cole is a mage supporter, and would completely understand Anders’ need for action, especially as Meredith had already called for the Rite prior to Anders destroying the Chantry.

Herren the Desire demon.
So one of the best minor twists in the original Dragon Age Origins, is the reveal that Herren is a desire demon, a reveal you will only ever learn if you play through the alternate timeline campaign Darkspawn chronicles where the main PC Warden dies and the darkspawn wins.
I love how this one, simple revelation completely turns over everything that the first game tells you about demons and spirits on it's head, something which would be expanded on in later games, but also how it fits in perfectly with everything else shown in the game.
While abominations creates absolute hideous monsters when formed, Desire demon abominations march to a completely different drum, as we see with Connor, where the demon leaves him perfectly physically healthy.
Desire Demons also are the only ones in game who flat out does not need an outside body at all to function, as shown with Kitty not having possessed a cat, but instead taken the form of one.
They also have far more well thought out and logical plan making than any other demons, capable of making plans that could actually work in the long run.
Which brings us back to Harren, the lover and business partner of the genius blacksmith who forges your best blade in awakening, and dragon armor in origins.
Here we see a Demon that has integrated completely into human society, has found an actual relationship with a human that satisfies his needs, and as shown with the way he acts exasperated by his lovers eccentric nature, he has clearly grown beyond the basic nature of a desire demon, into a human who at the end of the day, still retained his demonic powers(as we see in the darkspawn chronicles.
In other words, he is a demon version of Cole, introduced long, long before Cole was a thing.
I love how you can go back to the start of Dragon Age, and realize that they really had figured out the rules of this universe from day one.
i really dont get the criticism that bioware "retconned" the qun to include trans people. i feel like gender being inherently tied to your role in society, regardless of whether it aligns with your assigned gender at birth is something that existed since origins. its why sten and morrigan have a whole banter where she asks if sten has a hard time considering her a woman. not because she's in any way masculine, but instead because she takes her place on the battlefield; in the qun, all weird mage stuff aside, she'd be considered a man. i think people only think its a retcon because they give it a special word in inquisition in probably the most groundbreaking yet very messily handled scene involving a trans character ive had the (dis)pleasure of seeing where bull is like "yeah the qun has a word for people like krem" which immediately helps him to understand krem, also.
the difference in sten and iron bull when it comes to adjustment to non-qunari in majority non-qunari spaces is that (probably due in part to the chargers and iron bulls already very thin ties to the qun, and definitely in part due to bull being a member of the ben-hassrath and sten being a member of the beresaad) bull just naturally has an easier time connecting with people, even people who aren't part of the qun. sten has a hard time doing this due to his role as a soldier. he was not sent to make friends with ferelden or spy on them, he was sent to figure out what the blight is. he works through this in origins if you get his approval up but he never gets to iron bull's level as far as the games are concerned. theyre fundamentally different characters, bull does not act the way he does as a means of retcon. bioware's retconned a ton of stuff but this isnt on of those things
i have zero faith in dragon age 4 being worth a shit now. how do you let such phenomenal talent go to waste like this? what the fuck is happening behind closed doors at bioware?
All in favor of joining forces to completely re-write the dumpster fire call Miraculous Ladybug say I
