Chat they made Minecraft into a silly goofy cringe movie even through Minecraft is actually about life and earth and the universe and tearing meaning out of the ground and molding it with your hands into something that you can be proud of. They made the pink sheep look ugly and funny for a cheap laugh when it should’ve been a beautiful moment where you, age eleven, come across this rarity, this beautiful anomaly and you hold its face in your hands and stare into its chocolate brown eyes and you realize what the whole world is about. Does the Pope actually have the power to remove people for any reason though? There needs to be an investigation first right?

The pope can for any reason remove a bishop from office. It is normally done in cases of scandal, heresy, or the like. However, he need not give any reason. People upset that Pope Francis did this in the case of Bishop Strickland, ignore that Pope Benedict did the same thing, offering brief announcements that did not detail as to why the bishops were removed.

Given that Bishop Strickland actively spoke out against the Pope and there is speculation that he is a sedevacantist, it's understandable why he would be removed from office -- you ought not be in charge of the flock of God, if you do not follow valid forms of succession.

Not to mention, the Catholic Church is not a democracy or republic. It is a monarchy. The pope is the monarch, and is the sole ultimate earthly authority in matters of judiciary things. It's why for something like an annulment, it must be approved by the office of the pope if it cannot be adequately discerned within an archdiocese.

I have come to a conclusion. I hate the term "reduced to motherhood" or "only a mother" when applied to a character. There is nothing reductive about motherhood. There's nothing "only" about being a mother. Or a father, for that matter.

If motherhood is written as reductive or flat, then you know what? That's bad writing, cuz motherhood is anything but.

Why don't you read some of Pope Francis's magisterial teachings instead of his unscripted "thinking aloud" statements, and maybe you'll calm down.

I've seen so many posts that paint opposing smoking as some impossibly Loser-ish or puritanical stance and I really don't get it

it makes you, your house, and your clothing stink, destroys your teeth, and gives you lung cancer. opposing it is. Correct. obviously addiction is very complicated and quitting can be hard, but just saying "smoking is gross and harmful as a practice (including vaping)" is True and Right actually

some of you have never grown up hearing about how some beloved family member died a slow, agonized, wasting death of smoking-induced cancer, or watching it firsthand for yourself, and it shows

I don't think all that panicking was good for them
