ART.

But seriously though - I'd pee my pants if I spotted something that looked like that watching me from the bushes.

The Mystical World Of Mushrooms Captured In Photos

Most people consider mushrooms to be the small, ugly cousins of the plant kingdom, but theirs is  surprisingly beautiful and wonderful world waiting to be explored. These beautiful mushrooms, captured by enthusiastic nature photographers, are a far cry from the ones you find in the woods or your local grocery store.

Most mushrooms, as we know them, are actually just the reproductive structure of the fungus they belong to – their fungal networks expand far further underground, and some fungi don’t even sprout the sort of mushrooms that we’re used to seeing. In fact, depending on your definition of “organism,” the largest living organism in the world is a fungus – there’s a honey mushroom colony in Oregon that occupies about 2,000 acres of land! Please tell me that the one thing thing he managed to salvage from his original campsite was a poster of Dian Fossey that he carries around in his pocket....

But in all seriousness, I would would LOVE to read this comic. I know you said you were interested in making this a webcomic, but I would gladly pay for a story like this.

So, Here Is A Sketch For A New Comic I Want To Make About A Renegade Naturalist Turned Feral Poacher

So, here is a sketch for a new comic I want to make about a renegade naturalist turned feral poacher hunter. The idea would be about a biologist in the congo who after being the lone survivor of an attack by rebels is forced to hide in the jungle to survive where he slowly loses his mind. Upon meeting a group of poachers in the jungle who had just killed the last of a species that he had been studying as well as his colleagues he takes his revenge. Tarzan meets Batman is the tone of the story and I think it would be a good outlet for my rage against people who hurt the natural world as well as a PSA. I want to bring attention to the problems of structural racism and colonialism that force many of the indigenous people to kill their endangered animals. If this gets good feedback I’ll make a separate Tumblr for it as a web comic. Let me know what you guys think.

You have a lovely blog!

Higgledy-piggledy

One silly blogger was

Told by a ‘nonny that

They liked her stuff.

She was concerned about

Getting a swelled head and

(Unrealistically)

feared it would pop.

So, this has been sitting in my inbox for a while, and I want to apologize for not responding to it for months.

I also want to take this opportunity to reemphasize that I'm terrible at replying to messages, and the amount of time between the message and my response (or total lack thereof) is any sort of indicator of what I think of you or your message. 9 times out of 10 it's because I want to take some time to give a proper reply, but I really don't have the time to do that because I should have been doing work instead of being on tumblr in the first place. (The other 1 time out of the 10 is because I get distracted. I am sorry; I'm rather easily distractable.)

Lastly, I want to apologize for posting so few poems over the last bunch of months. I've been pretty bummed about it and I hope that will change, though I can't guarantee anything.

The Skull Of The Chinese Water Deer Is One Of The Most Iconic Skulls Out There.

The skull of the Chinese Water Deer is one of the most iconic skulls out there.

Like many small Asian deer species, it does not have antlers. Instead the males fight each other with their extremely sharp tusks, slashing at rivals with downward head swings.

When not actively shanking others, the tusks can be folded back slightly., so they don’t interfere with eating.
