Shadow Work Prompts
Shadow Work Prompts
What emotion do you try to avoid? What triggers this emotion within you?
Who has hurt you in this past and what would you say to them now?
What do you think your worst trait is and why? In what ways does this trait bring positivity into your life?
Are you holding any grudges against someone? Why haven't you been able to let go of that resentment?
What do you need to forgive yourself for?
Are there any privileges in your life that you've taken for granted?
What promise have you made to yourself that you've broken? How does that make you feel?
What words would hurt you the most if someone used them to describe you? Why does that hurt you so much?
What are some ways you could be more forgiving?
What's the biggest lie you've ever told?
Are there times when you could have been kinder to yourself?
What is your saddest memory? Why does it make you feel this way?

Things I do for work as a witch in the service/restaurant industry ✨💵
Hi, so I am a hostess/waitress but I am also a pagan witch so here are some things I do for work. Both before, during, and after
Before work
I typically will light the abundance candle that is in my money bowl and sit with it as I get ready, this helps me focus on manifesting abundance through my routine
I love glamour magic, and have charged some of my makeup that I wear for work to help manifest money and abundance in my life. I did this specifically with my highlighter, but you can do this with any part of your routine whether that be makeup, or skin or hair products
Some of my jewelry is charmed for abundance, the silver hoops I wear in my first lobes at work are charmed for abundance and money.
I carry citrine and Smokey quartz in my wallet to draw money in but also keep it safe and encourage smart spending
I carry a pouch in my bra(you can carry it in your pocket as well, I just wear tight jeans at work and it’s more comfortable for me to carry it there) in this I have bay leaf, marjoram, Rosemary, pyrite, amazonite, and moss agate. These all have their specific uses. But the general over arching property is abundance.
I use my abundance oil and draw sigils on my throat and on the inside of my arms. I also use my protection oil on my chest
My perfume is charmed as well and I spray that before work
I sometimes will do a tarot reading to get a feel for the energy of my upcoming shift
After work
First thing I do when I get home from work is cleanse myself, both physically and energetically. I typically with take a shower, I use products that contain herbs like rosemary and lavender to benefit both from their medicinal uses and their magical properties
While I shower I typically with think about how the night went, practicing mindfulness is a important part of manifesting
After I’m out of the shower I apply my skincare, which I find is a useful tool in building up a good foundation for the night. It makes me feel completely reset
I will then recount my tips from the night and right down my hours. I do this while sitting at my altar and burning my abundance and protection candles.
Then I put any money I want to save into my money bowl. This allows me to sort of recharge its energy at the end of each night
If you have any questions or have a topic you want me to cover feel free to leave a comment or send me a dm 🖤✨
New rules: everything I manifest comes out 10x better than expected
Banishing
Banishing is another important part of a witches practice. Banishing is far more specific and direct than warding, often targeted towards a specific spirit, energy or a specific person. Banishing comes on many different forms, these can be candle spells, jars, the use of sound, visualisation, smoke etc.
I will cover some of the most common ways to banish and how to do them!
Banishing jars
With all jar spells, they include a jar which contains ingredients such as herbs (I'll include a list of banishing herbs below), salt, bodily fluids, a petition paper, ashes of a sigil programmed with the intention of banishing, glass shards, nails etc. When encountered with a time you need to banish, simply fill the jar up with ingredients and seal with a black or white wax.
Some practitioners like to create a banishing jar and then shake the jar each time they feel the need to banish negativity or a person.
Spells
They're are hundreds of ways to create a spell, the aforementioned jar is one of them. Spells can range from long elaborate rituals to small candle spells which only take a few minutes to do.
The ingredients for a spell will range from practitioner to practitioner, some of the most common include the use of herbs, fungi, plants, sigils, petition papers, crystals, precious metals, water, oils, moon phases and days of the week.
Smoke
Any form of smoke can be used to banish. Some of the most common ways to banish usually include bundles of herbs, resins, woods, incense etc.
Simply light your way of banishing and let the smoke flow and banish the negativity in the area.
Please be careful when using any form of fire, practice fire safety and always keep an eye on your bundle while it burns. Put it on a fireproof dish or plate so you dont burn your hands.
Sound
Anything that produces sound can be used as a way of banishing. This can be using a singing bowl, singing, an instrument, hitting pots and pans together etc. Anything used with the intent of banishing can be used to banish negativity.
A good idea would be to pick a song which bring you happiness when listening and use that as a form of banishing.
Herbs
There are thousands of herbs out there which can be used to banish. Here are a few you can use!
Some examples are; Dragons blood, Lavender, Garden Sage, Chilli flakes, Rosemary, Garlic ,Thorns, Black pepper, Cedar, Angelica, Basil, Broom, Cumin, Fleabane, Mandrake, Lilac, Hot pepper, Pine, Onion, Rowan, Salt, Black Salt, Wolfsbane (please be VERY careful handling wolfsbane), Yarrow, Rue etc.
Overall, there is a lot of ways to banish negativity. Please note that this isnt am exhaustive list, theres hundreds of ways to banish and this varies from person to person. Depending on the strength of this negativity, it might take multiple attempts to banish before it completely disappears.
I am magic.
My form, my existence, my person, myself, are magic.
I am magic by breathing.
I am magic because I am alive.
Regardless of my productivity level. Regardless of what/how much I do. Regardless of whether I accomplish.
I am magic by just being me.
I am magic by just being.
I am the magic and the magic is me.
