Ello one and ello all!

Here are some genuine and legit tips and tricks to help you, yes you, On your gcse/a-level art course!

(From an a-level art student)

1. Invest in a gluestick, scissors, masking tape, watercolours, acrylic paint and quite literally anything you take advantage of in an actual lesson! This means you can do work in your book outside of your lesson, and use lesson times to create bigger pieces

2. Always always awlays buy a bigger tube of white and black paint, you will need it, even if you think you dont

3. I know the call of the black paper is tempting, but you need to be able to pull it off, only use black paper on every page if you have an A3 art book, it makes A4 books seem smaller, if you're using an A4 book i suggest using brown paper instead!

4. Be creative with your pages! Dont just write stuff down, create flaps and backgrounds on your artist analysis, use tracing paper to annotate on top of a piece you made, use colours that relate to your theme or just randomly blot them everywhere!

5. Every. Page. Is. A. Piece. Of. Art.

6. Stick to what you're good at for your actual project! I suggest you practice what you know you're weak in outside of lesson, and when you feel you're good enough, incorporate it into your work

7. Seriously man, every page should be decorated and designed in a way a child would enjoy

8. Use multimedia in your work! If you're painting on canvas embroider it! If you are working on a board use clay to create a 3D element in your work

9. (Most importantly) have fun with it, do things you enjoy, study things you are interested in, if you do not love your project it shows!
