some art i started october 30th, and finished a few days ago.

I always go to bed after my dad at like 1 am. Today I was tired, so I'm going to bed and its 10:50. Before him. His response to me telling him I'm going to bed and to turn down his game was "are you feeling ok?" And that just makes me laugh.

a drawing i started in may, but never finished until today. really proud of how it came out, and compared to the last mermaid thing i made last year, i def improved.

Something I have a hard time with is taking care of myself. I dont eat like I should, I dont drink enough liquids like water, dont shower that much because they take to much energy or I forget. I feel both physically and mentally awful.

But I have started a nightly routine of drinking a glass of water then washing my face then brushing my teeth. Honestly, it makes me feel better.

I have always been told by the internet that little things like that is good. It is, but sometimes doing my routine is to much for other people, and that's ok.

This is something that needs to be said. Does not matter if its romantic or platonic.

Found a deer antler I had, wanted to see how it would look on my persona. They do have horns, they have always had little horns. But I don't know if I should change them to this.

First drawing with my new computer. way less laggy between switching what layer I was working on and saving.

Almost had to remake my watermark due to my computer being a butt and not being able to reach the cloud that all my previous work is on. Lucky I have a back up of it that I can easily find. Only of the watermark but whatever, I will get my other stuff soon.

But I’m really proud of how it looks. I was looking at art I made from the start of 2020 to what I’m doing now at the start of 2021. I have improved a ton. I very happ.

My sister just came in and talked about playing Minecraft with me. She and her boyfriend were talking about playing feed the beast, something me and her played together a lot a long time ago. She was going though a conversations she was having and was talking about me in it, and she was using they/them pronouns for me and I’m just... *happiness noises*

First time she used it, I was shocked, since no one has been using them for me. That quickly went into pure joy. It feels amazing to use them, makes my heart warm.

wanted to test out drawing wings on my persona. i like how they came out, but i gave up on the colouring part, so no details, just flat colour. other that the wings, and the two lil sleeping dudes.

yeah, the wings dont look that good. but im trying to get better at it.

I created a quick walkthrough on my process! You can do the same with any digital art program and brushes you like. As always, learning comes with critical thinking and if you feel this does not apply to you, then no worries! There’s no correct way to do things as long as you achieve the results you want. 

The technique can be customized with different brush types and colours, and can be as simple or heavily rendered as you so desire. I hope it helps a little! I like to do lighting like this in my own work for a sense of atmosphere.
