“How am I looking?” Kit asked as he pulled the end of his shirt over his chest, preparing to shoot yet another topless scene on the beach. “Am I still small? Is it obvious yet?”

Still in the earlier stages of his first pregnancy, Kit’s belly had only recently begun to grow — rounding out, into a slight dome-shape — and he’d been stressing about it for days. He had no clue what was going on inside of him, or how noticeable his stomach was to everyone else. His body was already changing, and the idea of having an obvious belly, so soon, terrified him.

His doctor told him that he had time to prepare for all of this… that the pregnancy would take a while to make itself known, outwardly, and his bump wouldn’t start showing until his second trimester. He’d have the time to get his head together, and think things over… and he had a lot to think about. With his career finally taking off, a few days of shooting left, and a slew of other commitments that he had to fulfill, this pregnancy couldn’t have come at a worse point in time for him. Because of his doctor, Kit thought the he still had a chance to shoot topless scenes, and wrap things up on set… but, after noticing the shape of his belly, he realized that she was wrong.

It’s one thing to take the advice of a medical professional, and listen to all of their “ifs” and hypotheticals… but watching the changes happen in real-time, before they’re supposed to take place, wasn’t anything like Kit was expecting. There was no way in Hell that he could take his shirt off in public if he was already starting to show… let alone go bare-chested in front of a camera, and a crew of people, without knowing that his belly wasn’t going to be a problem.

“Yeah, Kit. You’re fine.” The person nearest to him answered. “Just a little puffy in the middle there, but it’s nothing to worry about. We shouldn’t have had you guys eat before this take… but, In this light, your abs are still going to show through.”

Kit only looked a little bloated… like he’d just eaten a small meal. Even up close, it wasn’t obvious that he was pregnant. Good…

That’s definitely not a beer belly on Star Lord…

His dad’s DNA definitely makes him extremely fertile, making him a perfect vessel for a certain god’s heirs.
