My Krueger Concepts

Headcanons I have for the stinky dream demon!

The three dream demons occasionally speak to him. They contact him in the nightmare realm or just through his mind and they tend to bicker about killing advice. They also speak up whenever they dislike a choice he makes and only one speaks a sentence at a time. Krueger finds it annoying but he avoids bringing it up since they gave him his powers.

Krueger has quite the temper and will throw a fit of rage in the dream world if someone escapes when he means to kill them. His fits can include him scraping his metal knives against the walls and slicing up random objects. He also shouts a lot of profanities.

Maybe he could have been a bartender as one job while he was human. Free alcoholic drinks when he was the only one at the counter and the boss was not there. And free women to take to the alleys out back once in a while to dump their lifeless bodies in the garbage. When he was not killing children of course.

Krueger does think of his daughter sometimes and how she was snatched from him by protective services after she saw his hidden workplace and he killed her mother out back. But he avoids displaying too much emotion about it since it might interfere with his actions while hunting down teens.

His powers require both fear and souls instead of just one. Souls act as the fuel that keeps the fire burning while fear stretches his power further as he obtains more. Krueger obtains the fear by pulling people into his realm and scaring them instead of just outright killing them. And coming back from dying through being pulled into the real world and killed or something else results in the fear he gained being lost but a portion of the souls still with him.

Krueger can go into the real world but he requires a vessel of sorts. He needs a person who has either easily swayed emotions or someone who is unstable. It works like permanent possession and once it is complete he looks like his human self instead of burnt. Krueger can only head back to the dream world by the vessel dying somehow.

The dream world can be changed into anything he wants when he is not hunting down teenagers. Krueger prefers choosing the house he lived in with his daughter and he tends to walk around aimlessly in it. It is as if he is lost in a train of thought.

He has used people from the real world a couple times in order to get what he wants by utilizing manipulation. Krueger promises them power in exchange for them drugging a specified victim to sleep or something else. And when the job is done he ends up disposing the person and moving on.

Sorry that it took a long while for me to write this!

I really love the idea of the slashers and final girls hanging out with each other which made me wonder about how far they have to go to visit. I tried to get the locations as close as I could, but had to improvise in certain cases, so this is just my interpretation.
