I can behave normally around books

It’s my birthday so I’m allowed to make one yearly horny post…
I would like it if Melinoë picked me up by my head with her skeletal hand and flung me side to side cartoonishly
Would you still love me if I was an all knowing eldritch fear monster?

genuinely save me
So I’ve been running a Hatchetfield game for my friends using the Kids on Bikes system. I love the system and that parts going great, and I absolutely loved the episodes we’ve done so far. I’ve been framing them as episodes where they play the same characters in different timelines, against different Lords in Black.
The first game was against Nibbly, they played their two high school characters, whose friend and student council president was possessed by Nibbly at a young age, and as she reached her 18th birthday, had less and less control of herself. It was a lovely little story, and in the end they triumphed freeing their friend from Nibbly’s clutches.
The second game was against Wiggly, who was using a film being made in Hatchetfield as a ritual to be brought forth into the world, with Wilbur Cross being the main villain. They played their adult characters in this game, and lost to Wiggog. But the way they lost made for probably one of the best and most interesting games of a ttrpg I’ve DM’ed. It also felt like a true Hatchetfield ending in my eyes. I wanna make a full post about this episode later bc it is wild.
We are on our third game of it now and this is my reason for making this post to begin with. They’re playing their high school characters again for this one against Tinky. And I will tell you, writing for a plot about T’Noy Karaxis is the hardest thing I’ve done for this game so far. I hate the Time Bastard so much. And I feel like I have the same trouble for a Pokey episode, they’re really hard to come up with an original idea for them.
That said I feel like the choice of Kids on Bikes was perfect for the game, and would be excited to hear if anyone else has attempted a similar thing for Hatchetfield. Blinky is also the main overarching antagonist rather than Wiggly for my games… bc I love Blinky. All these timelines and stories are building up to what will be a major confrontation, but I know my players might see this post so I can’t say anything about that yet…
