why are EA so hell bent on making the sims be exactly the kind of game it is not??

like 90% of games are story based, there are already dozens of Star Wars games, the whole selling point of the sims is that it’s NOT THAT. it’s a LIFE SIMULATOR, it’s open-ended, there isn’t a storyline you have to follow.

so why do they keep trying to make it a story based game when it doesn’t have the mechanics to do that well??

is there some huge secret contingent of people out there who really loved Strangerville that I don’t know about??
