Lieutenant has a bit more medical knowledge than average, and in particular about the ins and outs of sparks. Primarily because his spent much his early years in and out of the hospital for his own spark. Always asking questions, reading medical papers on them, and going over the research. In fact, had he continued his education, he would have gone on to try to be a medic.

Lieutenant does a lot of foolish things that risk himself. (Trying to bond with a dying ship which still has lasting effects but no one wants to remember the ship so he doesn't talk to anyone about it.) He knows how to take care of himself in the end but he uses he knowledge to take care of others when need be.

Someone let the little husband running loose again. Oops. Lieutenant has to put him down for his nap, clearly. Cranky lil rat. @trustme-imamedic
