I've been having a tough time lately, and when I don't have the energy for everything keeping up with social media is one of the first things I slip on. But I still care about all my writing buddies, so:

Chapter 30: Arena

I hated it. I hated having the poor human inside my stomach. I didn't want eat her! I was forced to!

She was too sweet for such a cruel act! Too kind for such treatment from her own race! She had such a sweet personality.

It felt wrong to have her inside. I wanted to get her out! But the muzzle on my face would prevent me from hacking her up.

I made a whine as I noticed she wasn't moving. I wanted to cry, but I couldn't. The feeling of something inside me felt so right, but so wrong.

No sweet human deserved this! Not even the of the human! I was thankful for being able to control my acids. If not-

I shivered at the mere thought of digesting the human. I was chained, muzzled and had no way to get the human out.

I looked at my tail, and saw that it was covered by metal. I turned to look at Zoha, and made a whine.

Sekido, Urogi and Karaku were fast asleep. It was only Zoha and I whom were still awake. He looked at me, and I tilted my head to my tail and used my paws to point at his tail.

He was confused at first of what I was trying to say, but quickly got the message. He brought his tail next to him, and it immediately turned into my tail.

He quickly got his chains off, and then mine. He managed to free my tail. I carefully used my tail to get the muzzle off of his head.

He used his paws to get my muzzle off as well and I went up to our other brothers. I nudged them awake.

" Guys! We can get those chains off of you."

" Fuckers didn't know that I had all of your abilities."

I glared at Zoha, and he shut up immediately. It wasn't hard to remember the human. It wasn't difficult when I could feel her weight inside.

" Quickly! Or I'm creating a massacre."

I quickly got the chains off of Sekido and Karaku while Zoha got the chains off of Urogi.

" The humans?"

" On it. Had to get you free first."

I saw Zoha hack the human out and right onto his paw. They had their arms crossed while looking at Zoha.

" Took you long enough."

" If I knew human language, I would've cursed at you so much."

I started to do the same thing. I felt the weight of the small human travel from my stomach and up my esophagus.

I opened my jaws, depositing the human in my paws. She was unconscious. So that was why she didn't move? She passed out...

I hadn't meant to scare her that bad. I never wanted to eat her in the first place! It was that woman's fault!

" Stop growling at me. I only said facts."

I snorted when Zoha argued with the human in his paws. So did my brothers. Except Sekido. He only grinned.

" Fuck you!"

" Do you want me to stop petting your head?"

" NOOOOO!"

It was kind of funny to see how my brother reacted. Even if the human didn't understand him, they certainly understood the sounds we make because of he language barrier.

" Then stop growling."

" ..."

I saw him nuzzle the human, despite them still being soaked in his saliva. I turned my attention to... Zika, was it?

Yes. It was Zika. I watched her unconscious form, feeling guilty for what I had done. For what I was forced to do.

" Give me the baby!"

" No."

I snarled at them. I never snarled at my brothers. Not once. Not ever. My brothers, except Zoha, were all shocked.

" Someone's broody."

" I have never seen you broody. Except Sekido. He is always broody."

" EXCUSE ME?!"

I grumbled and held Zika close to me. At this point, I was thinking that Karaku was right. Maybe I was a bit broody. A bit too broody.

" The only reason I am fucking broody is because you two fucks are acting like children!"

" He admitted he is broody!"

" Oh for the love of- SHUT UP!"

I turned my head when I heard something creek open, pupils slitted and my ears lowered. I turned around and saw a gate open.

It was an arena, just like father had told us. I hissed, opening my wings and almost hit one of my brothers with the sharp tips.

Sharp light filtered inside our cage, and I heard my brothers hiss at the sharp light. I closed my eyes and turned my head away.

" It is a good day to go fightning. Especially that dragon."

I was confused of what Zoha's human meant. I turned my head, my eyes used to the bright light. My eyes widened as I saw what was in the arena.

A dragon. She, assuming by the body structure, had a muzzle on. Her hair was an ash-blue colour, her eyes were a deep orange with white pupils, wings a gorgeous ocean blue that glistened in the light matching her tail. She had white fins on each side of her tail. Like a salamander.

I looked at her, seeing her look up at the area the head of the fight arena was. She looked out of it, as if she had fought a dragon before us. She also seemed worried.

" Is that a Bio-luminescent Gel Wraith?! What is she doing out of the water?! She'll dry up within an hour!"

I certainly did not know what the dragon's ability was, but from the panicking human in Zoha's paws, I guessed that it had something to do with water.

I felt the human stir in my paws, only holding her closer to my chest. I snarled lowly at the dragon. She only hissed back.

The sound was so echo-y and low, a combination of high and low frequencies. I was ready to protect my brothers and humans, and they would do the same for each other and the humans.

It was time to fight like the dragons we are.
