you rest your chin on boyfriend!mark’s shoulder, your arms wrapped around his waist and hugging him from behind as you watch the movie together. mark is sitting cross-legged on the sofa, your legs wrapped around his waist and the palms of his hands warm on your knees.

mark has always been warmer than you, and you shift closer to him, feeling his warmth of his back through his thin t-shirt. you sigh happily, a smile spreading subconsciously across your face. mark feels your soft breath on his neck and almost shivers, his attention shifting from the rom-com to you. you giggle, noticing the way goosebumps form on his neck.

“you like that?” you tease quietly into his ear.

mark rolls his eyes playfully, and you squeak when he swiftly pulls you into his lap. “shut up and watch the movie,” he murmurs into your ear, and you happily shut your mouth, leaning back into his warm chest as his fingers absentmidedly trace small circles on your thighs.

hi my friends, i’m sorry for bothering you about this again but i truly don’t know what to do. yesterday i opened up briefly about what had happened to me but the truth is that my situation is a little more serious than how i initially made it out to be. 

my boyfriend (i’ll refer to him as “jay”) and i have been together on and off for the past six months. everything was fine at first but a couple weeks after we started dating, i was raped by his roommate. i won’t go into the details but when jay found out, he completely changed. we started living together afterwards but he wouldn’t let me go anywhere without his permission. he went through my phone every night, he constantly accused me of cheating on him, he even threatened to tell my parents about what had happened. we took a trip to korea during winter break but ended up breaking up on my birthday. at this point, he no longer lived with me because his roommate had moved out, and so i thought that things would get better after separating. but shortly after returning to the states, i started receiving threatening letters in the mail. my little sister also started receiving these letters and even received a box that contained photos of me, photos of her, photos of my family ㅡ all taken from my social media and all with my face scratched out. i reached out to the police, but they said that i didn’t have enough evidence to file a restraining order against him. they did, however, question him about what was going on, and all of these events stopped happening after that.

he reached out to me after a month and apologized for everything he had done. he apologized for mistreating me and told me that he missed me and that he would never do anything to hurt me again, and i believed him. everything seemed okay until a couple of days ago when i found out that he had been cheating on me. i broke up with him immediately, but he kept calling me and my sister (who is currently staying with my grandparents). we both blocked him, but he showed up to my house at 3am. he used the spare key that i’d given him to enter my house, and he began yelling at me for breaking up with him. we started fighting and when i took his house key from him, things quickly escalated and turned physical. he threw my laptop over the railing from the second floor of my house, he broke my glasses in half, he threw pictures and books at me, and he sexually assaulted me at knifepoint.

thankfully my neighbor was still awake and came over to check up on me because she had heard us screaming at each other. jay left immediately but i explained to my neighbor what had happened and she drove me to the police station to file a report. when i told the police what had happened, they told me that there wasn’t a strong case and had even implied that it was “just a young couple’s fight” and that he had raped me to “make up with me”. my neighbor took me to the hospital to get me tested but since i don’t have insurance, the bill ended up being over $800.

one of my close friends came over and spent the night just in case jay came back. nothing happened overnight but about an hour ago, he showed up. my friend answered the door while i stayed in my room, but i could clearly hear him shouting and threatening to come back and find me if i ever ran. he left and now i’m here making this post.

the reason why i’m writing all of this is because jay has established a pattern of harming me and i’m terrified that he will harm me again. i have the option of staying with my grandparents, but they live 8 hours away and i literally do not have enough money to fill up my car. i also do not have enough money to replace my glasses (this isn’t a huge problem because i wear contacts but i’m down to my last box, which will only last me for another two weeks) or to replace my laptop (my summer classes start in june and they’re all online).

“what if you were an alien?” you murmur into boyfriend!jeno’s chest. the two of you are lying in bed together after a horror movie marathon, his dark grey blanket pulled over the both of you. you’re wearing his large green t-shirt that falls to your mid-thigh and shorts, and snuggle up to him because you feel cold and a bit scared. he notices and lifts his arm to wrap it around your waist comfortably.

you look up into his face - his eyes are closed and he looks peaceful; maybe he’s about to fall asleep by this point. “that might explain why you’re so handsome,” you murmur quietly.

the corners of jeno’s lips lift up lovingly. he finds your midnight thoughts endearing, and the arm around your waist shifts so that his hand runs through your hair. “go to sleep, sweetie.”

you relax, sighing contentedly into his chest. “... i really think you might be an alien sometimes.”

jeno chuckles lazily. “why?” he says, his eyes opening slightly as his hands repeatedly caress your hair.

“i don’t know,” you murmur, your eyes drooping closed with sleepiness. “maybe because you’re so perfect.” you let out a small, quiet yawn. “i love you,” you mumble, your hands on his chest relaxing as you fall asleep.

jeno can feel you relax as you sleep, and closes his eyes as your soft breaths seem to whisper in the dark room. “i love you more,” he mumbles back, and kisses your head as he falls asleep.

you + nct127 as mafia members

YOU: headquarters

you’re the living headquarters of nct127 - the communications base that links everyone together and the one who checks all the field members’ equipment. as the communications base, you hold a vital role in making sure doyoung - the strategist - and the fieldwork members can communicate. when the team works on missions in areas where wireless communication won’t work unless there’s a closer connector, you go out into the field yourself to maneuver the communication. it’s highly dangerous in theory, but you haven’t actually gotten badly hurt yet (besides that one time someone shot a bullet through your arm), so you think you can manage. you love the team and would probably take a bullet for them. 

TAEIL: the medic

taeil’s natural disposition discourages him from being physically violent. he would much rather stay out of missions but use his medical knowledge to treat his friends after missions. taeil gets really freaked out every mission, as at least one of you (you, taeyong, mark, winwin or yuta) comes back on the verge of death, but is just grateful he can help. taeil treats each wound as if it’s a fatal one because he believes he takes responsibility for anyone’s death. when not working, taeil is attending online school to get his degree (which is why he’s constantly tired). he also brings in stray cats once every month to nurse them back into health and drop them off at the animal shelter - something he dreads doing every time, but none of the members on the team have time to properly take care of a cat.

“finally, you’re ba- oh my god, yuta! what have i told you about not wearing your bulletproof vest?”

“can we-(grunt) can we talk about that later?”

JOHNNY: the hacker

johnny was actually a combat expert before he discovered technology. since he found his passion and talent for hacking, though, he spends his days locked up in the computer base with his stock of diet coke and twinkies. (he really needs to stop working - taeil recently confirmed that johnny lacks vitamin d.) johnny is an amazing hacker who can practically access any information the team requires, even if it is tightly protected or firewalled. he helps you manage communication between the team during a mission. johnny dislikes doing fieldwork because he hates seeing blood, but he will if the team really needs him to. he specializes in boxing. 

"please AT LEAST go grocery shopping with jungwoo, johnny. you need the sun!”

“...can i get twinkies?”

TAEYONG: the field leader

taeyong is a natural-born leader, and specializes in making good decisions on the spot. the team does its best to follow doyoung’s excellent strategies and advice during a mission, but sometimes taeyong’s rapid decision-making skills are necessary when unexpected circumstances occur - doyoung can’t always see what’s happening. taeyong is respected, especially by the physical combat members, because of his excellent physical abilities. he expertises in knives and shotguns, but is also extremely proficient in other forms of combat. he is not afraid to risk his life to complete a mission - something taeil hates about taeyong’s personality. when not on field, taeyong loves to cook and train with (usually) mark or other fieldwork members.

“yuta, pull out of there!”

“that’s what she sai-”

“(groans) NOW!”

YUTA: the sniper

yuta has always had great eyesight and amazing aim. he waits for the perfect moment and usually fires on doyoung’s cue - unless he can really feel that he needs to fire at a different time. yuta’s timing instincts have always been right, and have determined life or death for several of their members. he does not really have much talent in hand-to-hand combat, though, so is very vulnerable when he is discovered by the enemy. he hates wearing a bulletproof vest because it limits his mobility while shooting - the team worries about him, but yuta always manages to pull out alive. he loves playing shooting games at arcades to win his friends cute prizes - especially you because you love them and sicheng because BOY does he have a big fat crush on him.

“sicheng, look! i won you a teddy bear at that shooting game!”

“ANOTHER one??”

DOYOUNG: the strategist

doyoung has a great mind, and was studying to go to military school before he met the team and was instantly in - especially because he needed the money. doyoung plans for the physical/main portion of the mission: how the team will get in, who to watch out for, what to take, and how to get out. he works closely with you, jungwoo, and johnny for information. doyoung’s creative and tactical approach to strategies is essential to the team’s success. he’s not quite talented in physical combat or weapons, though, so prefers to stay behind the lines (in the headquarters with you and johnny). doyoung constantly wears an headpiece, with a microphone set to a slightly louder audio than you and johnny, in order to communicate with the entire team during a mission.

“i know, babe.”

JAEHYUN: the charmer

jaehyun knows he’s attractive, and he’s not afraid to use that for the team’s gain. as one of the many heirs-in-line to a very successful company, jaehyun is well-known to many elite groups for his oratory abilities, intellect, and looks. he keeps up his image to the public in order to casually dig up information about missions for the team. he is also proficient in using his attractive traits to get what he wants - always. the effect jaehyun has on people he consciously tries to charm - with a sideways glance, a dimpled smile, and a few words - is so crazy that it has the entire team wondering how the usually unimpressive man in his sweats and four-day unwashed hair can do such a thing. he also financially supports the team. jaehyun is still on field as he does research, though, so constantly trains to be physically adept in hand-to-hand combat.

“...why are you all looking at me like that?”

“um, it’s just weird. (laughs) you look like a totally different person, jae.”

WINWIN: the infiltrator

winwin is babie but he’s also deadly. with his agile and flexible body, sicheng - with the code name winwin - is the first one to enter the field. sicheng works closely with jungwoo in order to avoid missing any information, swiftly dodging any potential traps and security alarms when needed. jungwoo, doyoung, johnny, and you learned a bit of mandarin and winwin’s native district’s dialect in order to communicate with him as accurately as possible. everyone on the team adores him and is impressed by his 1000% accuracy in each mission. he’s everyone’s favorite. when off field, winwin spends his time learning dance in a nearby studio and avoiding the team’s persistent, suffocating hugs of affection.

JUNGWOO: the researcher

jungwoo is amazing at his job, swiftly finding any information through his enormous network of people or searches with johnny on the dark web. he has such a huge human network that you could name someone and jungwoo probably knows that person or at least one person who knows them. jungwoo works especially closely with you, johnny, haechan, doyoung, and jaehyun, as the five of you are the ones working behind the lines with him. the entire team is given all the information that jungwoo gains, though - and jungwoo is the one with all the information. he is very competitive and has a talent for sniping, discovered by yuta during a playful bet at a carnival shooting booth. when not working, jungwoo spends his time working as a barista at a local café or internet shopping for comfy pillows to add to the headquarters’ living room-turned-comfort room (because jungwoo firmly believes even mafia need nap time).

“it’s a bean bag shaped like a peach! it reminded me of jaehyun, do you guys see it??”

MARK: the versatile

mark can do anything you ask him to do - as in literally anything. when mark first showed up to the headquarters asking to be let in, the entire team (excluding johnny) was shocked. the location to the headquarters was very securely hidden to the public; in fact, only some of your wealthiest and most frequent clients even knew a physical headquarters existed. the team didn’t really have a choice but to let mark in - there was obviously a security leak and none of you would know what it was unless mark told you. it turned out that johnny had let it slip to mark, since johnny knew mark for a while and knew what it felt like to be starving on the streets. johnny had been convinced that the team wouldn’t trust mark enough to let him in unless there was an extremely compelling reason to. the team would have been upset with johnny, but you couldn’t deny that johnny’s assumption was true. and mark proved to be an amazing asset. mark is a hard worker, and believes in the phrase “practice makes perfect.” he is the versatile of the team, usually partaking in the main fieldwork with taeyong but also dabbling in medicine, coding, and communications. he’s eager to learn everything he can to help, and loves to hear praise for what he does. you make sure to compliment mark for every job he finishes, and he beams every time. when not working, mark likes to play guitar and watch netflix with haechan, often arguing over which show they should watch but ultimately settling for haechan’s show.

“okay fine! let’s watch your show. (sighs)”

“oh yeah! thanks hyung!”

HAECHAN: the spy

haechan plays an extremely important role in the team, as the one who digs up information for the mission. while jungwoo uses his human/digital networks and jaehyun uses his charming appearance and status to dig up information, haechan disguises himself as someone he is not to gain information for the team. he’s highly effective, as a very convincing liar and actor. he is amazing at impromptu, and will never forget a word he says on a mission in case he needs to revisit a story he told. haechan is only put on the field when it’s absolutely required, as a false identity can be easily exposed without significant proof. therefore, he tends to have a lot of free time that he spends learning about emergency medical procedures from taeil and watching netflix with mark. haechan is really skilled at what he does, though, and sometimes fools even the team on missions if he is covering his face. (he joined the team after mark, as the team was more open to younger members after mark was admitted.)
