In honour of @ladymirdans Abaddon day, I offer this conversation between me and my friend, who knew more fandom-lingo than I did.

Me, having started reading Horus Heres but knowing basically nothing else about 40k timeline: So what's this 'Cadia' people keep talking about?

Friend: So you know about the Eye of Terror. Cadia is the closest Imperial world to it, it is the first point of defense against demon-armies.

Me: And it fell?

Friend: Yes, see Abaddon the Armless kept gathering crusades to-

Me: What happened to his arms?

Me: Did he lose them? Did they get cut off in a fight? Did he replace them with robot arms?

Friend: No-

Me: He still had arms at the end of Galaxy in Flames. Does he lose his arms in Vengeful Spirit?

Friend: No, I-

Me: What happened to them?
