LUCIE’S THOUGHT PROCESS THO.
ok but lucie and jesse may have the same energy as klaus and ben hargreaves.
jesse and ben are both ghost, with a constant headache that comes and goes.
the constant headache: lucie and klaus.
lucie 'i don't appreciate being overlooked' herondale is gonna be so angry when she finds out that belial's first choice was james

She is a Herondale through and through.

Name dropping done right.
How are people still shipping Matthew X Lucie when the whole story started with lucie meeting Jesse when she was ten and now they met again years later. THAT IS A PERFECT LOVE STORY.
tlh Crackpot theory that will most likely not happen bc it’s so dumb, but I’m going to write it anyway bc I’m quaking
In TLBOTW, we know of the icon, the legend: Courtney Gray Wiese. Now, I thought she was a really big side plot. It was almost like she was too empathized. I want to think that cc didn’t just include her for humor. I think she is part of tlh.
We know Lucie is the only character that loves to write, and I refuse to believe that she does not publish at least one book. However, in present day, there is never a mention of a Lucie Herondale. But, what does this have to do with The Very Little Mouse that went a very long way (yes, I was too lazy to capitalize properly), you may ask?
Here’s where it gets weird:
I think Lucie writes under pen names. The interesting thing about the name “Courtney Gray Wiese” is that Gray is Tessa’s maiden name. Wiese is like a meadow thing. Do you know what else is like a meadow thing? That’s right, a dale. So we have Tessa and Will’s last names, cleverly disguised. And Courtney? Lucie Manette (from tale of two cities and who is Lucie’s namesake) married Charles Darney. The Cour- comes from the one and only, Cordelia Carstairs.
Now, why in the world is Lucie Herondale writing a children’s book? For Alexander Lightwood of course (not Alec, the other one). Alec says that Lily gave them the book, and at first I thought that tore my theory into pieces (because if it truly was Alex’s, it would have been passed down through the Lightwood line) but this actually works out. I’m going to explain in a sequence of three key moments what happened:
1) Lucie writes this book and gifts it to Alex as a Christmas gift in Coi
2) After asking Cecily to read it to him for the millionth time, she gives the book to Anna and asks her to get rid of it. Anna takes it to one of her friends from the Hell Ruelle: Lily Chen
3) When Lily goes to New York, she leaves the book in Hotel Dumort, where she forgets about it until one day she finds it again, remembers the story of how it terrorized the 20th century shadowhunters, and decided it would be funny to give it to present day Alexander Lightwood.
And that, my friends is my crackpot theory of how Lucie Herondale is actually Courtney Gray Wiese
*I know this is a trash theory, but if you actually liked it, please don’t repost! I’d really appreciate it if you reblog instead.

If there’s one thing we can all agree on
FIRST SNIPPET OF SWORD CATCHER
“You came with the prince, didn’t you? Monseigneur Conor Aurelian?”
“I am his cousin,” lied Kel.
“Do you like him?”
Kel was silent. To even ask such a question was treason. One did not like or not like the King, or the Crown Prince. They simply were, like the Maquis, like the dark-jade canals of the Temple Quarter, like Queensfall itself. It was like asking if one liked the gods.
“I saw my sister coming up the stairs with him and the others,” said Merryn. “House Aurelian. One cannot say no to them, can one?”
“I never have,” Kel said, feeling suddenly weary. It had been a long day, too long; he felt drained to the bone. “Maybe in play or jest, with Conor, or Bram, but not in any seriousness. No.” To his own horror, his voice shook. A sword-catcher does not show weakness. A sword-catcher is the strength of the Prince, his shield and armor.

Look at all these gorgeous covers!! Some of my absolute faves from my shelf!

Still not over Aleksander
Killing off Aleksander was the WORST. POSSIBLE. THING. Bardugo could have done for the Grisha Trilogy and I’m about to tell you why.
First off, the most major thing I think I should cover here, everyone’s reasoning for Aleks dying. It all seems to be that “the villain turning good and siding with the heroes in the end is sooOOOOooo cliche.” Alright. Fine. Name me ONE FUCKING BOOK OR MOVIE WHERE THAT HAPPENS. ONE!!! Please! Because I’d love to read a book or watch a movie where the “villain” is redeemed. I never have before, it’d be a nice experience.
Secondly, Bardugo spent a shit ton of the first book AND the second making it seem like there was hope for Alarkling. That’s a shit ton of page time FUCKING WASTED IF YOU ASK ME. Let’s take Red Queen, for example. The whole thing with Maven? That was good shit. Broke my heart, but it was good. You know WHY it was so good? Because Aveyard only spent a portion of the first book making you think Maven was chill. That there was hope for that relationship. SHE DIDN’T WASTE TWO WHOLE BOOKS ADDING TO THE RELATIONSHIP TO HAVE HIM POINTLESSLY DIE AT THE END!!! And actually, it wasn’t even two. It was more like 2 ¾. Smfh.
Aleksander definitely could have been redeemed. The whole killing of the orphanage shit didn’t have to happen, the “I will strip away everything you know and love till you have no shelter but mine” didn’t have to happen (I honestly might be able to argue that it was out of character), and he could have been saved. Not to mention, Alina ending up with Mal was complete shit. I would have been more okay with Aleks dying if she had ended up with Nikolai, which was literally the only thing that MADE SENSE OTHER THAN ALEKS.
The book literally ended EXACTLY how it started, and instead of that being literary genius, it was absolute bullshit. Alina losing her powers and ending with the same shitty dude she started with (and oh yes, Mal is a shitty guy, but that’s a post for another time) was ridiculous. It threw away any and all character development of Alina’s that could have possibly happened throughout the trilogy. Everything she learned about her powers and herself was for NOTHING.
I want the ending half of the trilogy REWRITTEN.

YAS JULIAN.

I found a pic of Julian’s to-do list

Parabatai Aesthetic Edits I made originally from my aesthetic account on IG (aestheticstvshows)
(I’ve just been informed that the characters in Jem sections are Japanese and not Cantonese or Mandarin, sorry for the inconvenience if you noticed it. I found the pics on we heart it so I didn’t know.
(Jace & Alec) (Clary & Simon) (Emma & Julian) (Will & Jem) (James & Matthew) (Lucie & Cordelia)
“The words of the parabatai oath is a variation of the verse Ruth 1:16-17 from the Bible: “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.” (Parabatai Oath) • “It’s a bond that is covered beyond just love on a kind of eternal level, it’s a bond, it’s a connection, it’s a kind of a spiritual link between the two, so I think it’s one of the more important relationships on the show, personally, and I love it, I love the parabatai relationship, it’s really beautiful.” – Dom Sherwood on the parabatai bond • “The parabatai bond is important in every season and it will be till the end of time as long as I have any say in that manner.” –Matthew Daddario on the parabatai bond • There’s always something about true Parabatai. They don’t need to speak to communicate. I saw the two of you having an entire conversation without saying a word. […] (Jem about Clary and Simon) • “We are bound together, Emma, bound together—I breathe when you breathe, I bleed when you bleed, I’m yours and you’re mine, you’ve always been mine, and I have always, always belong to you!” )“– Julian to Emma • Will has always been the brighter burning star, the one to catch attention — but Jem is a steady flame, unwavering and honest. He could make you happy. (Will and Jem) • “I know about parabatai,” said Magnus, an angry, dark undercurrent to his voice. “I’ve known parabatai so close they were almost the same person; do you know what happens, when one of them dies, to the one that’s left —?” • Matthew held out his hands. "Pax,” he said, wheedlingly. “Let it be peace between us. You can pour the rest of the port on my head.” James’ mouth curved up into a smile. It was impossible to stay angry with Matthew. It was almost impossible to get angry at Matthew. -Snippet for The Last Hours (James and Matthew)

“There are things we want, down under what we know, under even what we feel. There are things our souls want, and mine wants you.”
