Okay, this never happens. I just sat down for a solid 3 and a half hours and wrote a fic from start to end in a draft format that closely resembles mid-draft as opposed to first draft. My concentration never wavered.

every time someone leaves kudos or comments or bookmarks my fics im like yess. Give me your love. I crave your attention and your praise. Let me fool you into thinking you love me by writing fluff and crack but also throwing your favourite characters down three mountains while bloody and bruised. Kneel before my throne of badly edited liesss.

[starts writing fic] actually maybe i should be drawing [goes to draw] actually maybe i should be coding [goes to code] wait i need to make music [goes to make music] wait i need to make sprites [goes to make sprites] actually i want to write that OTHER fic [goes to write other fic] actually i need to write this script [goes to write script] actually wait i should work on my comic [goes to work on comic] actually i should [watches youtube]

Felt like typing something angsty apologies for the feels.

“What is it gretta?” His question held no aggression, his eyes, big and doey, and almost…sad, like someone had licked their fingers and snuffed out the light in them.

You! I want you! She wanted to say but instead her chest tightened. All that came out was some sort of excuse to make conversation. 

“I uh, I have not seen you much as of late.”

“Well you know how busy things have been lately." Dwight shrugged his backpack strap back onto his shoulder when it slid off part way. "Mondays I gotta help a few clubs after school, Tuesdays is newspaper stuff with zeke, Fridays is the senior center with nana and I've picked up some extra time at the animal shelter on–”

“Saturdays I know,” Gretta interjected, "Nana told me.”

The silence grew between them. It used to be calm and comforting being in each other's space but now it was something that made his heart drop into his stomach. The quiet was deafening as much as the school fire alarm.

His schedule had been absolutely hectic but it was what he needed. He'd been doing different things for the school, running himself ragged. He didn't even know why he was doing so much as if without him things around him would just fall apart. Perhaps he was more worried it would end up being him that fell apart if he didn't.
