Weapons are amongst the most recognizable Final Fantasy features. The heavily romanticized designs are the embodiment of the “fantasy based on reality” philosophy that was used for Final Fantasy XV: real-life weaponry is the point of departure, but the lush ornamentation (inspired by various styles like baroque and rococo) belongs to the realm of fantasy.
