"Hag Stones."

"Hag Stones."

A Stone with a hole in it's center, or as the Celtics reffered to it as a "Hag Stone." A seeing stone.

Seen in popular media such as "Coraline." and "Spiderwick chronicles."

"Hag Stones."

In Coraline it was used to find 'Lost' things, helping Coraline find the three missing ghost eyes to beat the other mothers game. But when first told Miss Spink and Forcible and two differing opinions. "It's good for BAD things." > April "It's good for LOST thing." > Miriume.

"Hag Stones."

"In Spiderwick chronicles, it was a tool used to help a human see Fearies. Because only people with the sight or allowed to see the Fea can see them while most of the time they remain hidden. Only a "Seeing stone." Can help someone see the Fea clearly.

"Hag Stones."

But thats in Fictional Media, what about real Hag Stones and their superstitions in real life?

"Hag Stones."

"Celtic in origin. Referred as Hag Stones. Also known as Holey Stones or Witch Stones, are stones that have naturally occurring holes and usually found near oceans or other bodies of water. They are said to be powerful protection tailismans and when worn or carried they protect the bearer from curses, hexes negative spirits and harm. They have also been used to prevent nightmares, being strung on a bedpost or placed underneath pillows. It is also believed that if you peer through the hole of the stone that you can see the Fae Folk and otherworldly entities. If one broke, it is thought to have used its power to protect life.

*With that last addition, it makes sense on why this was used in media such as Spiderwick Chronicles and Coraline from it's tie to the Fea and other supernatural entities.

With The Grace Of Airmed

The Goddess Airmed was one of the Tuatha Dé Danann who was renowned for healing and knowledge of herbs.

Airmed collected and organised and was highly proficient in the use of 365 different herbs, corresponding to the joints and veins of her dead brothers body. Airmed’s father Dian Cecht was jealous of Airmed’s healing powers and scattered the herbs all over the world. To this day man searches and struggles with attaining a complete knowledge of herbal-ism.

I have been a practicing Solitary Wiccan for ten years. I am Ulster Scots and find much solace and inspiration from my culture, mythology and history.

This Blog is focused on holistic healing and well-being and spiritual development as part of my life long learning. I am eager to form relationships with others in the Healing and Wiccan community,

I identify intolerance as treating anyone unfavorably due to identity or life choices, this is universal and includes those groups that society strangely viewed as “fair game”. I will block and unfollow anyone who displays these attitudes.

Tarot readings are free to my followers, message me for a reading.

Idk who needs to hear this but telling people they'll curse themselves for hexing or creating karmic spells toward their abuser is not helpful at all.

Not everybody works on toxic positivity.

Not everybody's "forgive and forget" is actually authentic and true to their spirit, energy, and intent. That includes any of you and your friends who may use it to seem more woke than the others, aka only using it to be competitive.

And if you can't really feel it, it doesn't really matter what performative bs you try to portray.

Not to mention:

Most people use the concept as a fear tactic for some type of gain, on top of being competitive which is as unkind, judgmental, and morally wrong as you claim "karma spells" to be.

There are many old cultures and traditions that practice forms of hexes and karma such as hoodoo/voodoo, your 5 minutes of googling the popular witch concept, most of the time filled with stolen christian based fear propaganda (and the appropriation of closed cultures) does not override what has worked for these cultures for centuries.

So in conclusion.

People will not just start dropping dead or suffering even worse by hexing their abusers. It does not make them "as bad as their abuser" (another fear tactic that most people use), it will not make them overly bitter, it will not make them automatically "obsessed with revenge". It will not keep them stuck and unable to heal.

And it does not make them encourage anybody to curse just anybody over silly minor things, if you're afraid people will start just hexing for no reason, it's probably because you personally need that reign to hold you back from taking advantage of the power and you think others do too. Don't project onto others.

Bad people will always use anything they can find to destroy people they hate. This is one form of fighting back.

Sometimes it's to heal, sometimes it's just to get justice. At all times it's none of your business. Have fun using spirituality to pass about as much judgment as a "regular, normie" religious person though.
