i'm going out of town for the night and could use someone to watch her

GREECE. Naxos. 2003 Carl De KeyzerĀ
i just heard the phrase āif you wouldnāt trust their advice, donāt trust their criticismā for the first time and i donāt think iāve ever needed to hear anything more
canāt get my insulin and my spouse canāt get their meds either, there is no toilet paper, groceries are scarce and we all had to throw away our food, weāre still on a boil water notice and lots of people have been having issues with power/water/phone and internet service, kids arenāt in school, people are working 12 hr shifts daily to try to clean up. there is a lot of misinformation going around as well. and seeing people celebrate because we live in red states? the area i live in was not hit that hard. i canāt imagine how it feels to be in the communities around me hit way worse than us.

If you or someone you know is an AAC user whose communication method was lost, damaged, or otherwise impacted by the hurricane, please check out USSAACās Disaster Relief Committee. They can help replace high and low tech AAC and accessories, including switches and batteries.

They are also seeking donations, which is a great way to both help with the current disaster and celebrate AAC awareness month!
5, 15, and 36 for the 30's asks
5. Least favorite chore?
Definitely scrubbing the tub/shower and cleaning the oven because it is so much harder with all of my health issues and chronic pain. I use a homemade spray to spray the shower and tub every time I use it to keep it from getting grimy and also go over it with a mop and some cleaner so the deep cleanings arenāt as bad. Havenāt found a way to make the oven not as annoying. As far as more every day chores I donāt mind most chores but I hate doing dishes. I wear gloves and watch or listen to something while I do them and still hate them.
15. Do you go down each aisle when you grocery shop, or only the ones you know you need stuff from?
Most of the time just the aisle I need things from. I usually stick to my list and my grocery store is super crowded and hectic (there is only one grocery store in my town and the towns adjacent to me) so I hate being in there.
36. Do you keep a daily journal or agenda?
Yes, several. This year I am using a slingshot planner as a daily agenda. I also have a daily gratitude journal, inspiration journal, astrology journal, question a day journal, and work planner. Frequently, but not necessarily daily, I also am working through some guided journals/workbooks, an art journal, and my journals for my spiritual practice. I also keep a notebook with vocab and such for Japanese and Spanish study.

I think theyāre underreporting the sheer amount of damage Helene has caused. Entire towns are gone. 50 confirmed deaths already. Down power lines everywhere. Emergency responders are swamped. Stoplights are out. Thereās a down live power line at the bottom of my momās mountain and the sheriff is like āyeah, I know. we called the power company and theyāre not going shit.ā
