Cal

Usually busy doing ~statecraft~ stuff, but always makes time for a quick side hug. Carries snacks and he may slip one to you. He’s got a sharp face though and if you aren’t careful, you may get stabbed. 7/10.

Mom

8/10. Warm, but she can only hug one of us at once. Plus, she usually asks what we’re trying to get from her afterwards, which isn’t fair. How does she always know?

Dad

Big, strong, hugs us both at once. Sometimes squeezes so hard you can’t breathe, and one time Ruby almost suffocated in his cloak, but that’s the price you pay. 9/10, but only because of the minor health risk.

(I still think it should be a 10/10. Just ‘cause you almost died once-)

(Oh my god, how many times do we have to do this-)

Liam

He’s trying too hard. Would actually be pretty comforting in a sibling kind of way, if he was more relaxed. 4/10.

(I think it should be a 6/10 because of Preston.)

(Jet, we’re rating Liam’s hugs, not Preston’s!)

(I’m just saying! He’s fuzzy and cool to the touch!)

Lapin

Made a hilarious noise when we tried it. 6/10. Worth it for the prank value, hug is alarmingly not terrible. Would be better if he were less stiff.

(It’s probably because he’s tall.)

(Yes! That. It has to be. Bulb, imagine a world where Lapin gives good hugs.)

Theo

Oh my god. Oh my god this is insane. Ruby I can’t ever see the world the same way. He’s so boring!

my head canon is that during all the days Liam and Keradin and the Pontifex, Keradin works out his religious crisis.

Liam and Keradin may never ever be friends or even allies, but those talks makes him think more and more about what he has done.
