I think you need to question your life choices, what you understand from this story, your moral compass, and whether you might be a bit stupid in general.

Nynaeve has a lot more prominence in the story than Rand so far. Even Perrin is doing better at this point than Rand. And i am not even gonna mention Liandrin or Moiraine or even Alanna, but yeah...

Mat's storyline does not really start until further into the overarching story, so that's normal and fine. Rand's case is weirder and more worrisome cuz after this point his POV chapters start to decrease actually and we should have spent more time with him before certain things started happening to him....

Rand is also not having much of a character development when he is on screen. He is just furthering the main plotline.
