This is my angsty future chapter 😭❤ It's named after a line from Creatures in Heaven by Glass Animals, and it's kind of between two results, but I think I'm going to keep it sad unfortunately. Here's a little tidbit below!

Sweat slick, they remain that way, the need to breathe not a requirement, but he can’t help but pant above her with his face buried in her neck. He breathes in her scent, memorizing it, feeling a pit form inside his chest. He knows what it means, knows that it’ll consume him. Right now he can pretend it doesn’t exist. She strokes his back, another hand brushing through his hair, yet leaves her eyes closed, a smile playing over her face. She falls asleep in his arms and he takes care to disengage them, sitting up to look at her. He decides she looks ethereal like this, her skin gleaming in Selune’s light, hair cushioning her head. When he’s had his fill, and the accompanying regret, he pulls his trousers back on and stands, the faint sounds of birds chirping sounding from the forest canopy. Dim purple light bleeds into the sky and he walks out into the dawning sun, begging it to burn his sins away.
