Just incase. This isn't something that happens in the show. But an idea I had.

That is if Wukong and macaque make up or at least attempt to reconcile their past mistakes. There would be shouting, fighting, denial and tears.

Each left reeling at how they made the other feel and stuck in the guilt of their part in the shut show of their once friendship.

Wanting to hug the other but not wanting to be touched...

So this au is started by @maxytheamazingdoodle so its theirs but I like the idea so I'm just putting a spin on it.

Basically I see it more like this. Mk or Prince Xiǎotiān is the Son of Sun Wukong and Macaque the Two Kings of the Fruit Valley Kingdom. Till the Lady Bone Demon who was their friend betrayed them because she wanted power (or something idk why yet) casted a spell on the castle/ mansion that Wukong and Macaque had to run. During this Wukong and Macaque are separated in the chaos and Wukong and Mk are running together. LBD takes Mk away from Wukong and LDB turns Mk into a human but somehow has to leave Mk and in turn Mk loses his memories.

Wukong thinks Mk is alive but Macaque thinks he's dead and blames Wukong for it. Wukong searches for his son not knowing that Mk is human and in a near by orphaned.

Years go by and Mk leaves. His only clue is the headband he wears that on the inside reads something (don't know what yet)

Along the way he comes across mei and red son in the old castle / mansion. Who desired to leave this place for a better life so decided to help mk (again not knowing who Mk really is)

That's all I got so far anyway.
