Why do conservatives complain about the price of gas and groceries?

If you don't like the price of gas and groceries, just stop buying gas and groceries.

Well, that's the exact advice you've been giving to other struggling people since the beginning of time. You've been nonchalantly defending the free market whenever it was harmful to others. You convinced yourself that those who are struggling deserve it until you became one. Then, you suddenly decided that it must be some deep state conspiracy instead of accepting that what's happening to you is exactly what you dismissed when it was happening to others.

what bothers me about tumblr activism is that folks expect you to just. react when they say horrible things. "XYZ kills people". What a bold, and eye catching statement. And... that might be true, but like.. are you a survivor? have you linked a story about a survivor sharing their story? What about a literal explanation for what you're talking about? A statistic maybe... an explanation. How am I supposed to be mad about something, when some teenager struggling with white guilt is the one communicating this to me, the in the least effective way possible? It's sensationalism for clout, really. it's using pain and suffering of a minority to make yourself feel better, while not actually helping the minority. And no, reblogs to your 3 mutuals isn't activism.
