**The Summer After WIP (Chapter 9 snippet)**

Hello! 👋

My WIP has been out for a couple of weeks now and I plan to post chapter 9 this week... I've had some really nice comments on it so far (so thanks, if this was you!).

**Here's the summary:**

A week and a half after one of the worst wizarding wars in history, the Ministry of Magic has asked wizarding and muggle-born families to welcome the children of Death Eaters (who are awaiting trial) into their homes, for the summer

Hermione has literally just got her parents back and is outraged to find out that McGonagall wants the family to invite the 'ultimate dipshit' Draco Malfoy to stay with them.

But if they refuse, Malfoy is headed to Azkaban.

**And here's the snippet:**

*"Don't, Hermione." Draco brought her chin up to face him. He looked at her fiercely. Intensity sparked within his eyes - even in the dim light they were lit.*

*"He didn't win. You are safe. We are here and everything has changed." He trailed the backs of his fingers across her cheekbones and into her hair. She closed her eyes. The feeling was intoxicating.*

*"Okay?" Draco's question made her open her eyes once more. The intensity in his gaze was gone but was replaced with something softer, something warm.*

*"Okay," she agreed.*

*One side of his mouth was upturned in a half smile. "Good girl," he said mischievously*

Summary

However, Potter is coming back to live in the UK from ten years in Germany, and unbeknown to Draco, Harry has plans.
