so in high school i was on the hockey team and when i was a sophomore, this junior joined and i thought she was sooo funny and cool and i would constantly try to hang out with her before and after our games and we had a silly little dynamic but i always asked myself "wow why do i wanna be around her all the time?? i only met her this season but i wanna be her friend sooo bad" and it was just a different feeling from my other female friendships so i took that as a sign that mayhaps this is indeed a crush
