A tribute to @karkalicious769‘s beautiful fanfiction, “Diamonds are Forever” ♡
This piece was inspired by the chapters entitled “The Walls Have Ears” and “Death by a Thousand Cuts”, and in particular the scene where Ben uses the arm that’s been weighing him down as a shield instead and takes back his role as the hero, even if just for that moment. He didn’t feel like much a hero so many times in the story, but just the fact that he had survived all that had happened to him, came out of it having learned so many things, and having the courage and strength to not hold grudges makes him so tremendously heroic to me.
Anyway, I couldn’t just experience that and not be inspired to make something out of all the choked up emotions it left me with. Thank you so much, again, for creating something so meaningful, @karkalicious769!
(Also credit to @theclod3215 because their art helped me visualize Ben’s outfit and arm!)
Honestly, why are y’all still here? This is all I do with my life. Draw cartoon characters all angsty and make comics of @heroleague-incorrectquotes posts.
