Guys I must admit that one of the absolute best parts of fantasy high is that Em and Murph being right across the table from each other means that every time one does something cool, the editors can easily cut to a clear shot of the other making heart eyez
I love this and honestly I think he could have been and I wish he was but I think he isn't and it's the reason why the rat grinders are the way they are. They're what the bad kids would have been if they didn't have anyone good in their life to balance out their flaws. The bad kids are by no means perfect people but they're deeply close and a lot of the time help each other out when they're maybe not doing the right thing and when that fails they have an extensive number of supportive and understanding authority figures. The rat grinders have none of that. From the snippet we got into their group dynamic of the vote on the party name it seems like they barely get along with each other and the adults in their lives are constantly exploiting them for their own aims. If the rat grinders had someone who truely loved and cared for them in that jawbone way they probably would not have ended up how they did.

His home is a safe space, not only to Ruben, but to the other Rat Grinders too. Ruben spends most nights at Henryâs and sometimes Henry will wake up in the morning with all the Rat Grinders scattered across his house sleeping. He gets a little shock for a second because he didnât expect them to come over, but quickly calms down and goes about his morning.
Mary Ann burrowed under a pile of blankets and plushies on the floor in a corner somewhere.
Ruben in his own bed in the room that Henry offered to Ruben when he noticed Ruben coming over more than usual, Buddy curled up next to Ruben facing the opposite way.
Kipperlilly hidden under a blanket on the sofa sleeping as quiet as a mouse. Sheâs not trying to be stealthy, sheâs just small and sleepy.
Ivy and Oisin on a beanbag in Rubenâs room that is somehow big enough to fit the both of them comfortably. Theyâre both leaning against each other and not even fully lying down in the beanbag.
Henry clocks where each of them are before writing a quick note on a loose piece of paper:

Henry sticks it to the fridge with a magnet before leaving for the day. He knows each of their personal struggles in their lives and all he wants is to let these kids know that one person in this fucked up complicated world is always there for them no matter what.
I'm on episode 4 of fantasy high sophomore year and I'm calling it now, they're going to manifest the night Yorb into existence.
Fantasty high sophomore year episode 5 gave me quadruple disadvantage and dealt 5 damage to me. (Halfed?)
