This is based on a headcannon i have of Dave, Mark, and Sarah. Basically here is the headcanon, Mark and his little sister Sarah's parents were never really around. But they had their Uncle (Dave) to take care of them and watch them. so over the years, mark and Sarah saw Dave as their parent. Also Dave was the one that got Mark his pat cat. It's something I headcannon because I like to think that Dave is their uncle and most of the fandom does too.
