guys i actually finished an animation!!!!! theres no way i ever clean this up but getting to animate a fight like this was so so fun im really happy w the result!!

I love hollow space, and am using my new drawing powers to make a post-dune design for him (Because I doubt that dune would let him leave peacefully even if he's family)

lots of stuff going on here but i think the most notable thing is dunes second body reveal!! she gets the super tall shirtless one later, vibrant sound builds it for her so she can be better at murder than everyone else she runs into

new whimsy celebrates her first kill and hollow space introspects. i dropped the name five dice here, theyre not super important outside of being hollow space's first kill. he knows their name now because dice's friends attacked them in retaliation (the events immediately before this). didnt go very well for dice's friends evidently!

I'm going to be honest, I broke that antenna cause I saw you do it in that one comic and though "That's a cool idea" (Same goes for the stabs)

As for the leg, I don't think she'd do something that drastic either, but what she probably would do is hit him in the knee so it'd be harder to run. Combine that with days of travel and you have the potential for serious damage.

Additional notes:

The marks on their arm and upper chest are from dune trying to stab them. Thankfully they missed.

They do eventually get a replacement leg. At first it's just a piece of metal tied to their stump, but they eventually get a proper leg; I was thinking they color it like Phrases, as a thank you.

So I assume Flower's echo is still above Rivers chamber even in the Off Sting AU? I just imagine Flower's vibing and then doing a double-take as Rivers floats past (probably flipping him off)

this shitpost is technically unrealistic because the puppet isnt reformatted, an entirely new one is built so rivers wouldnt be leaving his chamber but for the bit

I am still going to headcanon part of the reason Dune doesn't sleep with people around is because she "snores" and she knows her siblings would make fun of her for it. That's my canon and you will not take it away from me.

you could in theory outrun Dune by going up stairs

She’s wearing a skirt like thing (unless if I’m remembering wrong) and skirts fucking suck to walk upstairs at any speed. I’m assuming she’d use two spears at most times or have a bomb so she’d either have to hold her skirt up with a spear in hand (awkward and potentially dangerous for herself) or abandon a weapon which I don’t think she would do (because what if you had a friend waiting behind to snipe her from the back)

I also just haven’t seen stairs in rainworld at ALL so there’s a chance they this could be a new thing for her, and because of the fact that she built herself stupidly tall and large there’s a chance that she’d just trip up her own feet trying to get up the stairs. So like, as long as you dodge a weapon throw you’d be pretty alright.

Idk why I’ve thought of this I guess the idea of Dune falling down the stairs has made me laugh too many times

I highly recommend you read back through the off string au tag but yea, basically, dune attacked the two after space was kicked out. Canopy (the green one) was stabbed by dune and survived, temporarily joining her for her life. Meanwhile, Odyssey (the purple one) was saved by a different group, and thinking Canopy was dead, went all Artificer on her group.

after dune attacks space they wander, injured and weak for a long time. they have a vague idea to look for someone named a fleck of flame- phrases had mentioned them, and he had nothing else at all to head to. all space knew was to keep heading straight south so they did, but their injuries got worse rather than better since nothing had been done about them, and eventually they collapse, exhausted and unable to go on.

very, VERY luckily for them, some unnamed members of fleck's group find him, and carry him back to fleck to be cared for! because... plot, space actually managed to get where he meant to, atleast

after helping space recover, fleck lets space stay to wait for phrases and rivers to arrive. i drew a comic about this a while ago but its pretty outdated, mainly space still having the leg. fleck has to remove it in canon
