NTM why would GRRM give the Winter Rose Stark Maiden Tully features when the Tully traits/phenotype wasn't even introduced yet to the Stark family gene pool until Catelyn married into House Stark and had children,Robb,Sansa,Arya,Rickon and Bran with Ned.The Starks didn't have any blood ties to the Tullys back before until then.NTM why wouldn't GRRM just give the Winter Rose,daughter of a Stark Lord,the Warden of the North,the Stark features since he already made it clear in the books that the Bael the Bard + the Winter Rose and Rhaegar + Lyanna stories and relationships are mirrors with the parallels they share.So obviously the Winter Rose,Lyanna,and Arya resemble each other considering they all share intentional parallels and have Stark features,NTM GRRM's original outline of Jonrya.

The Winter Rose has a dark haired Stark look and a blue rose in her hair.

When we look at Justin Sweet's other drawings, we see that The Winter Rose looks like Arya and Lyanna.

So it's show canon that Aegon I had a prophetic dream...and totally fucked up the interpetation because:

-Cersei LANNISTER was on the throne when The Others came and went.

-Arya STARK vanquished the Night King with an assist by Bran STARK as bait. All the people Jon rounded up made no real difference, and Daenarys and Drogon was so ineffective, they straight up blasted the Night King in the face and he said "Was that supposed to do something?! LOL"

While they hate the character who's actually a victim of SA in canon and also feminine (likes some of the traditionally feminine interests such as flowers and fairytales for example) even by their standards🤡🤦🏾‍♀️🤨🙄

The way antis just ignore GRRM literally confirming in an interview that slavery in the world he created was based off of the Roman Empire's in which slavery wasn't based off of race,so all kinds of people could be enslaved due to victories in war of the opposing side regardless of skin color like in other areas in the real world throughout history.Not to mention GRRM recognized and acknowledged the casting choices of the slaves in GoT based off of the options of those who auditioned for the cameos in the filming location of foreign country in another continent,Morocco (if I remember correctly),which isn't accurate to the slaves Dany (who is literally a former sex slave to Khal Drogo in spite of being forced into a marriage with him against her will as evident in Dany chapters before the wedding the handmaidens helping her freshen and dress up tell her Khal Drogo is so rich even his slaves wear golden collars while they are closing the golden torque around her neck,which creeps Dany out because she's actually very perceptive btw) frees who vary in background,race,ethnicity,and skin color,meaning white slaves exist too🤦🏾‍♀️

It's a fact that Dany's story is riddled with violence against women of color and that she's the perpetrator in several cases, so mentioning her race is actually necessary (Sansa being white has no bearing on her story because again, she never hurt or killed any woc). Besides burning Mirri, r*ping Irri and torturing the wineseller's daughter, she also slaps Eroeh in the face. She looted one city, destroyed another to gain an army of slaves, took over another one for a trial run at ruling and plans to abandon it to invade and destroy a continent that she (and the thousands of warlords she's bringing with her) has never been to to demand fealty from people who don't want her as their queen. Why don't you at least acknowledge that Dany is written as a villain and that your hatred of Sansa is, by comparison, irrational?

It's ironic that the biggest criticism of how George writes characters of color is that he uses them in service of white characters' arcs and that's exactly what you've decided to do in my inbox. Nothing about liking these characters, wanting to see more of their stories, or wanting better for them. Nothing about wanting to start a conversation about the racism in George's writing. Nope. Just you using these characters of color and their suffering, which you supposedly care about, as props because you feel a "pure", white character is being unfairly hated. I have to laugh. The only "hate" I've given to Sansa is disliking her annoying stans and pointing out how she's written in the books but apparently, that's enough to have you clutching your pearls.

And the thing about racism is that, for Dany to be capable of being racist, it would mean that race HAS to be a factor in their society. That would mean that Sansa, as a white woman, would subsequently benefit from her white identity. Which is why I found that so funny from the first ask you sent. If TG wanna hate Targaryens and Daenerys, fine! Just stay consistent in your hatred. Stop stanning the Greens, they’re Targaryens and never once refer to themselves as Hightowers. The truth is that the Targaryens are the coolest house in ASoIaF with some of the best characters and Targ antis know it.

I keep seeing posts saying Dany's entire claim to the throne is Aerys. You know, the mad evil tyrant who killed 2 Starks.

So many discredit Dany as a Princess, as a Targaryen, as a contender for the Throne, as a Valyrian, and as a Westerosi because of him. Who is she but tainted and fraudulent because of her ties to him?

And that is offensive.

I have my biological father's last name and his eyes. I've only met him twice. He was a drug addict and spent years in prison. I'm still mixed with black and a descendant of that last name. It doesn't matter whether I acknowledge him or not. Bloodlines aren't just your parents. I have ancestors from more than one bloodline who were living in the US for centuries, long before the current POTUS's grandfather ever arrived here.

I found out as an adult that I have brothers and sisters from my father's side.

Daenerys is directly descended from every King & Queen who ruled Westeros for 3 centuries. Her bloodline can be traced back 400 years in Westeros. She is a Targaryen through both her parents. She is related to over a dozen Kings and has a claim to the throne regardless of Aerys. Her mom Rhaella was the daughter of a King & Queen and the grandaughter of a King & Queen and the great grandaughter of a King & Queen and so forth and so forth.

What do you think is what causes this absolutely unhinged Targ hate? Like, I totally get if the Targs aren’t someone’s cup of tea, they can be a lot, but the way Targ haters talk about the Targs is just scary. I had this unhinged Targ anti reply to my comment on Reddit with an absolutely unhinged essay on why the Targs aren’t magical at all and that it’s just “supremacist propaganda.” It’s just really weird.

Idc if someone just doesn’t like the Targs, but what bothers me is when they act like they invented feudalism, are the most evil family ever, and when they demonize them for their dragons. Targ antis act as if the Targs are the only problem in Westeros and that getting rid of them is the solution. They must have watched GoT and read asoiaf with their eyes closed, because the war of the five kings was a war that was started just fine without help from the Targs.

The Targs did not create feudalism or war. It’s just strange how Targ antis fixate on the Targs and only blame them for feudalism as if feudalism wasn’t the system Westeros had for thousands of years before the Targs appeared. Sorry for the rant, I’ve just seen some really dumb comments on Reddit about the Targs and wanted to say this.

Unbiased answer: hate is stupid in general and i've seed batshit takes for every single character I like in asoiaf. It's a general phenomenon, if it makes you feel any better.

Biased answer: targs get extreme hate because they are the coolest house in the asoiaf universe and the very reason for asoiaf's popularity. they get hate because, while not everyone is familiar with the asoiaf universe, everyone and their mother knows the targaryens and recognizes asoiaf precisely because of the targaryens. they get hate because george decided to keep writing about the targaryens and they get an insane backstory where other houses get nothing. they get hate because dany is the reason game of thrones got popular and the reason hotd exists. that's why they get hate. loving the targs on SOME level is the norm and hating on the norm simply makes you seem cool and different in online spaces, which gets you clout.

Actually this is in sync with my unbiased answer because every character/house/trope that is popular and well liked will get an insane amount of very loud and stupid hate, it's just the way it goes. It is not something that only concerns the targaryens. I hope that covered you.

Exactly. They're so hypocritical and it's comical to see how inconsistent they are. They bash Dany and Arya as "girlbosses" for being active in their arcs, as though that's a bad thing, but then want exactly that for Sansa. They want her to become Queen Regent of the North but because she isn't there in her arc, they're stuck having to praise what she does have - passivity. They'll do and say anything to prop Sansa up and put Arya and Dany down.

It's so annoying seeing people claiming to be "Daenerys defenders" or "Daenerys stans" and then they go on to explain why they think she's right for burning King's Landing. If you really were a Dany stan and Dany defender, you wouldn't be arguing that she's right to burn King's Landing. You'd be arguing that she would never ever do that.

The latest addition on the ridiculous rhetoric of Dany's antis is that the girl feels hungry at the end of ADWD which according to them symbolises her " hunger for power".

Meanwhile Dany at the end of ADWD is all alone in the Dothraki Sea, has diarrhea, retches up green slime, is starving for weeks so of course she feels "hungry".

I understand that those people only read the books to find "hidden meanings" and "foreshadowing" of bad queen Dany but some things aren't that deep. Sometime hunger is just...hunger for food.

You cannot love Daenerys as a villain. When you actually love a character, you love and accept that character for who they really are, not for what you project onto the character. Daenerys as a villain is an utter betrayal of her character and everything she stands for. If you say you love Daenerys as a villain, you don’t really love Daenerys. You love the projection that you make onto her character, you love the concept of a villain that you think Dany would be, not who she really is.
