Here, for the first time, I combined my song with my series idea and filmed a scene from my script. The series idea is called "The Rise of the Fairhair Dynasty" and is currently an idea for a third Viking series. To present the idea, I had the idea back then to film scenes myself. Since I write songs myself, in addition to acting in front of the camera, I also made the creative decision to use one of my own songs in the video.

Thor is Back

Since my series idea introduces another world – the world of the old gods – I have tried stepping into the role of Thor.

Since I share my films on Instagram and X, where many professional actors are active, I decided to scale back my own acting a bit. I didn't want to overshadow any actor because respectful acting is important to me. At the same time, I wanted to showcase some scenes from my script. Therefore, I filmed these scenes.

Miranda July is glorious. She had a new film out called "The Future", which can be considered a relationship drama  of sorts. I haven't seen it, but the vibe seems to be like Breaking Upwards, a Daryl Wein and Zoe Lister-Jones film about a couple dealing with their open relationship. From what I remember about the film it was very honest and entertaining.  I can definitely agree on July's stance on daily distractions. I waste so much time on Facebook, that I've gone on a weekend Facebook cleanse. I feel clearer minded and less anxious.

To anyone considering studying/pursuing a career in film, here’s a warning you probably haven’t heard yet. Make sure you like making movies more than you like watching them. Because when it becomes your practice, you lose the ability to be immersed. I know that doesn’t sound like a big deal but it’s something you should seriously consider. The majority of people I know who work in this industry don’t actually watch movies anymore. It’s like knowing the secret to a magic trick— you’ll never see it the same way again. That said, I know very few people who regret choosing film. If you love it, it’s worth it. Just remember, if you turn your passion into your job, your passion will feel like a job.

Trailer for a sci-fi/thriller short I directed last year. Great performances and a top notch, talented young crew brought the atmospheric, tense world inside the Starlight to life.

Check it out then share it.

Charlie Chaplin In His Editing Room - Circa 1918
Charlie Chaplin In His Editing Room - Circa 1918

Charlie Chaplin in his editing room - circa 1918

One of the many hats he wore -editing his films.

In fact he was involved in every aspect, actor, writer, director, producer, editor, scoring soundtracks for films after 1918, . He had a hand in sets, hair & make-up, wardrobe

Most important financing all his feature films, he could take as long as he wanted, not having studio heads breathing down his back.

He built his own studio(which stands today and with Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks & D.W. Griffith founded United Artist

Time Magazine 1998 writes “ He was the first, and to date the last, person to control every aspect of the film making process.”
