Fuyumi: My boyfriend cheated on me.
Shouto: So I’m gonna burn his car.
Enji: Shouto! What is wrong with you? This is not how I taught you!

Enji: The boyfriend needs to be IN the CAR!
After workday
Enji: Fucking villains! 😫
Fuyumi: Fucking students! 😫
Enji: Stupid Hero Public Safety Commission!
Fuyumi: Stupid school administration!

Enji: I AM paid enough, and I’m still annoyed!
Shouto: Why are you two yelling?
Enji: We’re bonding.
Fuyumi: So why are you grounded?
Natsuo: Well you know how I’m growing up and you said my voice sounded like Dad’s?
Fuyumi: Yeah?
Natsuo: I decided to play a prank and yell “SHOUTOOOO” every so often, and it took Dad and Shouto eight times of Shouto coming to find him to figure out what happened.
Enji: No, Natsuo, that’s not why you’re grounded. The reason is that after all this, you went outside and yelled “Prominence Burn,” and the police had to evacuate the whole neighborhood.
Fuyumi: Natsuo!
Enji: HOW is my son worse than Present Mic?!
Fuyumi: Normally you’re supposed to be careful with creepy guys. Not me though. I just give them my full name and address.
Fuyumi: Go ahead, show up. Make my dad’s day.
Enji: I can find redeeming qualities in all of my children.
Enji: Natsuo is smart and independent. Fuyumi is good at everything she does. Shouto is my precious little darling.
Enji: And Touya reminds me that no matter how bad things are, there’s still so much lower I could have fallen.
Touya: Hey!
Enji: Also you’re adorable when you’re sleeping.
Touya: HEY!
Fuyumi: Happy birthday, Dad, I love you, you’re the best dad I could ever ask for!
Enji: Sweetheart, I love you with all my heart and I’m very grateful. However, please tell me I’m the only man you apply these disturbingly low standards to.
Fuyumi: Um…
Enji: Like, there’s not already a piece of shit boyfriend who belongs in the trash because you have no idea what a normal relationship looks like?
Fuyumi: No, Dad, I was just being nice because it’s your birthday.
Enji: Oh thank fuck, at least one kid somehow turned out normal.
Touya: So…
Enji: Touya, you are not cutting my cake with Blueflame, stop asking!
I also like how Dabi thought everything stayed the same since he was sixteen. Shouto is still just Enji’s pet project with no will of his own, Enji is still a raging maniac only caring about his success, the rest of the fam is just putting up with this. Meanwhile Enji had a whole change of character, he and Shouto went through a renegotiation of their roles in their relationship, Shouto stood up for himself by refusing to communicate with Enji until he was respected, Shouto trained and developed his own moves (unlike Touya who just copied Enji’s). Shouto has his own life and goals that have little to do with Enji. Rei got out of the hospital and was able to motivate her husband and son to fight Touya. Natsuo recognized Touya’s past suffering, he’s no longer that annoyed kid who just wants to sleep. Fuyumi was never “just a girl who doesn’t understand.” For all his spying on his family, Touya saw only what he wanted to see. He has no idea who any of them are.

My Hero Academia: Ambush Simulation AU - Provisional License Exam
Touya finding out Shouto failed the provisional license exam, something he himself had to pass in order to participate in UA's ambush simulation for legal reasons.
Touya: Weren't you going to do some celebrating thing for Shouto passing the exam?
Fuyumi: He didn’t pass.
Touya: *snorts tea through his nose* He fucking what now?
Fuyumi: Touya!
Touya: *coughing/visibly struggling not to laugh* How bad was it?
Fuyumi: *also trying not to laugh but only laughing because he's laughing* This isn’t funny. Stop laughing.
Touya: *cry laughing, high-pitched voice* I’m sorry he didn’t pass, that really sucks. I just wish I could have seen the look on Dad’s face. Did he turn purple?
Fuyumi: No, but he did go into the garden to shoot off 'fireworks.'
Touya: Is that what woke me up?

Fuyumi: *on phone with Shouto later* Anyway, that's the story of why Touya is now eating your victory cake. I'll send you the 'sorry, you tried' cupcakes later.
Shouto: That's fine. Thank you anyway.
Fuyumi: Yeah, weird thing is it's red velvet and Touya can't stand red velvet, so this is some diabolical pettiness. *covers phone to yell* Do you have to be such a child? You're gonna make yourself sick and I'm not cleaning it up!
Touya: *distant maniacal cackling*

Touya: *on phone with Shouto later* So I just wanted to ask what the hell happened. Aside from Fuyumi ordering both a 'congrats' cake and 'sorry, you tried' cupcakes and totally jinxing it for you.
Shouto: I...kinda ended up fighting with a student from another school.
Touya: ...we're speaking the same language, and yet I still feel like I mistranslated something. You wanna run that by me again?
Shouto: I got into a fight with another student, lost points, and fell below the passing score. ......... Yeah, I can still hear you laughing, Touya.
Touya: *struggling* Okay, so what have we learned?
Shouto: *sighs* Don't get into fights while taking career-important exams.
Touya: Precisely. Only my exact phrasing would have been, 'Don't be a jackass.' Did you win?
Shouto: No, Midoriya split us up before it got too serious.
Touya: What, and you didn't challenge the guy to settle the matter in the parking lot afterward? Who was he anyway? Was it a he? She? Them?
Shouto: He was someone from Shiketsu.
Touya: ...and you didn't start a rumble in the parking lot? Some friends you have.
Shouto: Mr. Aizawa would have stopped us.
Touya: And there's twenty of you and one of him, what's your point?

So anyway, even in this AU, Touya is still a brat living in the madness of his own mind. And after the whole incident on top of Machia, that seems pretty on brand for him.
Now I want it
In the Ambush Sim AU, the concept of Touya as a student is really entertaining to me.
Because you know somebody in his class was shitty enough to pick on the disfigured new kid. Only Touya, being the endearing unhinged mess that he is, he's just gonna be a menace right back.

First day:
Some kid: *completely unprovoked* Your dad has gotta be the most lame hero on the roster.
Fuyumi: *facepalms, knowing what's coming*
Touya: *violently slides chair over to wannabe bully's desk, plonks his head down on his hands, and grins like a madman way too close to their face* Tell me more! I have no idea who you are, but do you wanna be my friend?
Takes the bully most of the day to lose him.

Lunchtime, rooftop.
Touya: Shouldn’t you be eating with your friends?
Fuyumi: They’re not my friends anymore.
Touya: Oh?
Fuyumi: Because right now, they are graffitiing your desk.
Touya: ...
Fuyumi: I don’t need friends like that. So it looks like it’ll be just you and me against the world for a couple years.
Touya: ...I thought the graffiti thing only happened in shoujo manga and shit. That’s so cliché.
Fuyumi: You’re not upset?
Touya: It’s just a desk.
Fuyumi: ...you're plotting something awful, aren't you?
Touya: Is it really 'awful' if it's deserved?

Grandma Himura: Welcome home, you two. How did the first day of class go?
Fuyumi: He already has a reputation. And you're probably going to be getting a call from the principal.
Grandma Himura: *not even fazed* What did you do, dear?
Touya: *grinning* I won.

Shouto: Were you bullied in high school?
Touya: *look of disbelief* I was a tall, gawky kid with horrific facial scarring and I was a year older than everyone else. Take a guess.
Fuyumi: It lasted maybe a day. He became known as the kid you didn't mess with real fast, among other things. *turns to Touya* I am still shocked they let you graduate.
Touya: *smiling* Good times.
