While children around the world enjoy the summer holidays within the safety and comfort of their homes and plan fun beach trips with their families, our kids' childhood has been reduced to securing the bare minimum of food and water, fending off swarms of disease-carrying insects, and enduring the stifling heat inside the hellish tent. Seeing them fill water containers and struggle to carry them with their tiny hands breaks my heart into a million pieces. Our babies fall asleep drenched in sweat and keep waking up crying and gasping for breath. What makes it even more unbearable are the plagues of flies and mosquitoes that keep torturing their little fragile, malnourished bodies, increasing the risk of contracting infectious diseases, with no medical care available. They also face a very real and imminent threat of dehydration due to water and formula scarcity.Their older siblings are encumbered by burdens way beyond their years. They think it is their responsibility to fill heavy water containers and protect the newborns, but the truth is they are as vulnerable to the same threats that keep growing every day. No child should live in such a hostile environment. Rubble, garbage, and the smell of death are all around.
Our kids used to have a beautiful spacious home built after years of toil and sacrifice, just to be turned into ruins in the blink of an eye. Now, they are given no other choice but to be confined to the tight airless space of a makeshift tent swarming with all sorts of insects. Even if they go outside the only things that await them are the scorching sun, the hot summer air, and foul smells all day long. The summer nights are often equally suffocating depriving them of desperately needed sleep.
Using a wood-fired self-made stove to cook is beyond torture in such heat. It is also very dangerous to the children who keep going close to it. My heart sinks each time I see pictures of them next to the fire. Even preparing a baby bottle,if ever available, is an ordeal in such conditions but my family have no other options. They have been enduring unfathomable, relentless suffering for nine months straight, and they have been more than resilient but they are now way beyond exhausted. They have been daily fighting for their very survival but there's no guarantee of safety anywhere in Gaza as not only what is left of the buildings but also the tents are being indiscriminately bombed every single day. Even going to the beach to escape the sweltering heat has become a perilous journey for my family, and countless others, since civilians keep being targeted with airstrikes there too.
My family were not allowed to have even the slightest respite since the beginning of this waking nightmare. They have been striving to survive bombing, malnutrition, disease, the cold winter, and now the deadly heatwaves.
When I left Gaza shortly before the war, my dream was to build a brighter future for my loved ones. I have never imagined, once in my life, that I would be raising funds to literally save their lives. Now, my only wish is to keep them alive and as safe as possible, given the circumstances.
Your support is their only hope and solace amidst all the pain and loss. Please do whatever you can to help me save them from this brutal literal decimation of our people. Every contribution counts! A sudden incursion by the occupation forces into the east of the Khan Yunis area, a displacement of citizens under bombardment, and dozens of martyrs and injuries until this moment. Ambulance crews are unable to arrive.
The Israeli army officially announces a ground operation in the Khan Yunis area, after leaving it months ago.
Now I can say that we are on the outskirts of the danger zone and the danger may extend to us in the evening hours. At this moment I will be forced to make the seventh displacement, and so far I have not found a place to go to. We have no shelter left, unfortunately.
I request urgent support to leave this place as quickly as possible, knowing that our rent expenses in Gaza are very, very high, as are transportation expenses, as well as the commission rate for transferring money.

Firas (read more about him in my post here and @/riding-with-the-wild-hunt slightly better post here) has achieved his goal of 4,100 CAD to pay off his and his sister's university fees for their second semester! They will continue their education to become doctors in Egypt for at least one more year. Bad news, his fundraiser seemed to be completely stagnant since he hit that goal, which was 16 hours ago. But reminder:
HIS GOFUNDME CLOSES ON AUG 17TH.
That is literally just 3 weeks away. And when a gofundme closes, all the money is refunded to the supporters, which would practically put Firas back to square one.
Furthermore, his goal is 82,000 CAD (~59,000 USD) , and he again has only 4,100 CAD so far. Firas needs this 82k to get his 6-person family out of North Gaza. Which includes his father, his brother, and three children.
Don't stop now since he met this one goal. Firas' family still needs your support and donations to evacuate. They are completely unable to make any money after Firas' father construction company was destroyed via airstrike. They don't have medicine, food, water or electricity. They are in a warzone and are in constant threat of bombing.

Today we took our little brother hospital because he suffers from an infection that affects his breathing and causes him pain. I hope that every living conscience will help us save our young son’s life and donate any amount you can.

Fayez asked me to share this again. If you haven't heard of him, you should check my post above. Again not a verified fundraiser but **I think** his posts are very likely true and real, and it just wouldn't feel right to completely ignore someone going through language barriers, an unfamiliar app layout, and internet fees while also in a active warzone asking for help. Especially for the POSSIBILITY they could be a scammer.
He is at 1580 CHF as of now and has said he's been getting donations but at a slower and slower pace. He's now literally just getting one donation a day. and remind you, family with 10+ childern and a baby are whose stuck Gaza. (For complete transparency, I've yet to see any sign of verification on any of Fayez posts. I've reached out to Fayez about him being vetted/permission to share his story, and if this post has been posted with this message, and I have not gotten a response. But his posts are very likely real and his gofundme is very underfunded, so underfunded i feel like it would be wrong of me not to share it. I'm not aware of how the process of vetting and verification works, so if you do or know anyone who does, please reach out to Fayez. Fayez Al-Omrani (@fayezgaza) and his family fled from their home on Oct 7th, needing to leave behind most of their possessions and sources of livelihood. Since then, they have been displaced and forced to live in a tent in Deir al-Balah, Gaza. The tent is in constant threat of being bombed and has none of the sanitary equipment to keep the family safe.
They are trying to raise 55,000 CHF, which is 61,867 USD or 84,949 CAD. As of july 19th, 7:18 est, they only have 642 CHF, less than 1000 USD. The fundraiser has been completely stagnant for the last four days.
I'm not sure exactly how many people are in Fayez's family, But I do know there's is multiple small children in it, and seeing from his posts and gofundme, there are atleast 10 children, including toddlers and even a baby stuck in that tent. Not to mention Fayez himself.
Fayez speaks constantly about how he and the older siblings worry for the younger childern. He say the childern of their family is there source of strength, and who they hope will stay safe and largely uneffected by the attacks.
The tent is again unsafe and unsanitary, the family once even found a scorpion in the tent. The family often goes hungry, and everyday Fayez need to go out on long trecks in the hot Middle Eastern summer to recieve water for his family. The conditions the tent has forced them to live a horrible life, completely juxtaposed to their life before October.
Fayez says in one of his post's that the tent is not fit for life, and if the bombs from Isreal do not kill his family, living in the tent will surley will.
Fayez and his family have been living in the tent for 9 months, and he started sharing thier story on here since June 15th. But he has not broken 50 notes on any of his posts (and his most recent posts average 1-5 notes), and hasn't even recieved enough donations to pay for a mere month's of rent in the usa.
Imagine being forced from your home, and having the city you've known all your life turn in to rubble and ashes. Imagine living in constant threat of bombs or missiles being rained down on you, killing your family's childern. Imagine going how ever many miles you need to walk get access to internet, and only getting two or one notes on your post and a small donation. Imagine needing to promote your own lifeline, inbetween surviving the cruel life in Gaza.
Fayez is tired. He says it in his post and has been saying it since the beginning of his account. It's exhausting to live day to day like this, and you can help him and his family stop living like this by donating today.

My name is Abdullah Khaled Al-Haj, from Gaza, and I am 21 years old. I once lived a life of comfort and hope, but recent changes have brought me immense hardship.
Before my father's passing, our lives were full of comfort and care. I wore the finest clothes, enjoyed the best foods, and lived in a comfortable home. I worked hard and had a passion for sports, especially bodybuilding and weightlifting. Each morning, I would get up to enjoy time with friends, and my mother and younger siblings, whom I now care for, were happy and hopeful.
However, things changed drastically. We lost our father, who died in my arms at the hospital while we awaited treatment that never came. This loss marked the beginning of a challenging new phase in our lives.
Today, I no longer have suitable clothing or shoes, and I struggle to secure daily sustenance. I have lost weight from 90 kilograms to 60 kilograms due to the harsh conditions. I no longer sleep on a comfortable bed but sometimes on the sand.
