Here, have a Griffith inspired character design and the evolution of it! I made this for a graduation film I'm working on right before Christmas. Despite its rough-and-unpollishedness, I really like it myself! It was a companion design to the berserker (Guts inspired) fox I posted a while ago. They both helped me progress into the right style for the project

Breaking in a new sketchbook! I've been writing lately for a worldbuilding project of mine, triggered by the start, and now hiatus of my D'nD campaign happening in this world. The other day I got around to start writing about the worlds griffins, so here's an owl/lynx griffin! This griffin inhabits cold, Northern forests and mountain areas, specialising in ambushing anything from reindeer to hares and voles in the wee hours of dusk and dawn. It is also a supreme master of stealth both by foot and by wing. A very shy creature, it pose little threat to people (other than goblins..) unless cornered, then it can violently lash out with its powerful 4 inch claws #griffin #gryphon #griffith #owl #lynx #bobcat #sketch #sketchbook #drawing #eagleowl #birdofprey #mythicalcreatures #mythology #fantasy #fantasycreature #conceptart #creaturedesign #worldbuilding #dnd #artistofinstagram #art #artistoninstagram #dm #dmsofinstagram #dungeonmaster

Griffith is kind of my favorite character in Berserk.
I absolutely love the effort youâve put on your cosplay. It looks fantastic

My favorite cosplayer as Griffith!

You might have noticed that the sword Iâm posing with is not a cosplay prop, but an actual steel weapon - a parade saber that used to belong to my great-great-grandfather. The thing is, while working on Griffith, Shunak and I were too busy stressing over the armor that we completely forgot that he needs a sword as well - until a day before the convention, when it was way too late to start making one. After an epic âoh crapâ, my eyes fell on the wall in my room where all the decorative weaponry hangs (and yes, there is such a wall in my room). I realized that a 19th century Austro-Hungarian parade saber could totally pass for a Midland rapier - so thatâs how Griffith got his sword. Of course, even though the saberâs old and blunt, itâs still a real weapon so I cannot wear it to any other conventions than the ones that I organize, where I can bend the rules a little bit if I have to - the perks of being the boss!
Thatâs not the first time I used a piece of family heirloom for costuming. Parts of Morriganâs Inquisition necklace come from the epaulets of my great-grandfatherâs 1920s parade uniform. The uniform was completely ruined, rotten and moth-eaten, so my grandmother wanted to throw it away, but I managed to salvage some bits and pieces. Using parts of family history for my projects makes them feel very personal and special, giving them âsoulâ in a wayâŠÂ
After two AMVs that use clips from the movie trilogy, hereâs one that celebrates the old TV series. And itâs one damn good AMV - for years, I used it instead of a trailer when I tried to convince people to watch âBerserkâ - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mqy2CrstcTQ
