I need someone to write a Tomarry fic / one shot with Lily's, James', Regulus' reactions to what's happening from heaven. (I may as well write it myself). It would be simply iconic, like:
James, being nervous: "Um, Lils?"
Lily, who wasn't watching at the time: "Yes, honey?"
James: "I think... I think our kid fell through a time portal."
Lily, turning around in panic: "Our kid did what?"
* time going forward to watching Harry landing on 1947, when Tom was working on Borgin & Burks*
Regulus arrives: "Hey, guys, what's going on with Harry?"
Lily, still on edge: "He just time traveled."
Regulus, not expecting that: "Holly shit. To when?"
James: "1947. But nothing bad happened then, right? The Muggle war and Grindelwald's have ended."
*Regulus sees Tom meeting Harry on the street accidentally & recognizes him from his research and Harry's blanched face. * "Oh oh."
James: "What? Who's that guy?"
Regulus sighs: "Tom Riddle, otherwise known as the baby Dark Lord."
Lily, losing her shit: "Tell me that he's not going to be interested in Harry, tell me...!"
*A few months pass*
James in complete shock: "Aaand they're kissing."
Lily, throwing her hands in the air: "What. the fuck. is wrong with our child."
Regulus sighs: "It's the unresolved trauma, the need for affection and Jame's hero complex."
James, wounded: "Hey, don't blame this on me."
Lily, ready to abandon all hope: "Well, as far as I know, I punched Severus last time I saw him, so.. this is on you, James. You pretty much adopted Regulus, Sirius, Remus, Peter and half of the Gryffindor house." *she looks again at the vision of Harry making out with Tom* "Jesus, I'm going to going to have nightmares about this."
