I get my book recommendations the NORMAL way: by trying to catch a glimpse of whatever Isaac from Heartstopper is reading

This scene would have meant so much to me as a teen.

All these years of not understanding why I never developed a crush on a classmate or celebrity, of reading books/watching movies filled with romance and never being able to imagine myself in place of the characters.

I had to learn about the existence of "aromantic" people form goddamn tumblr, in my 30s.

I want to thank Alice for this, in "sorry" it was the first time I've ever heard someone say the word "aromantic" in tv, it's something really important to me and generally to every heartstopper fan who's also part of the aro/ace community. It makes me so happy for this representation to also be made by my favorite author ever and someone who's also part of the community
