no. I'm that because I'm that. I personally can't choose who and what I am. And there's no reason why I'm that besides that I'm that.

Some people out there COULD have a reason. Some people out there could've chose their kin because of a reason. But that's not me. I can't choose who I am.

Don't make me have reasons that isn't true.

Okay so I have a lot to say about this (not aimed at you OP)

'Validity' doesn't exist in terms of identity. I hate that validity culture has polluted the OTHERKIN COMMUNITY of all communities; it's a parasite that does nothing but cause infighting and distract people from actual issues.

Who cares if someone kins Rainbow Dash for fun? Who cares if their kintype is a sparkly pink wolf? Who cares if they can influence shifts or can't experience shifts at all? Someone's experience is their own and is wonderfully unique and real. Being 'valid' has nothing to do with that.

Communities are supposed to uplift each other, damn it, not make certain individuals of said community feel even more isolated.

I see a lot of posts listing experiences we have as alterhuman/therian/otherkin/nonhuman folk and exclaim that every one of them is valid.

Which they are.

Why does it bother me? Because I hate to see that this is needed at all. That we need to slap a “valid” sticker on our experiences.

It doesn’t matter whether or not we, (as individuals), decide they are or aren’t valid.

it doesn’t matter. What happens will happen regardless of whether or not you have an opinion on how “valid” it is.

So what if you’re nonhuman but also human? That’s an experience, it won’t magically stop happening because someone goes “nyeeeh”. (Just an example. You can insert whatever gatekeepers like to complain about and it would still work).

It’s saddening, more than anything. The fact gatekeepers think they can push people out for having different events happen to them ended up making us feel the need to say “hey, your experiences are real and they don’t make you lesser than those who have more common experiences”.

Imagine saying to someone that is crying that it’s okay to cry even though you and/or others aren’t. Of course it is. It should go without saying.

But these are just some Kxena thoughts, hopefully I was able to put them clearly into words heheh

I don’t believe uplifting posts are bad in the slightest, it’s just saddening to see we need them at all. Keep on lifting each other up! We all deserve to feel accepted and respected in this community. Write some words of kindness today!

Gods I HATE species dysphoria! One of the worst parts of being a therian! It’s awful! I feel awful! And there’s nothing I can do about it because my family are unsupportive.

mk so i sent an ask in to another blog (ty very much btw @/a-dragons-journal on tumblr dot com) and i’m now confident to start exploring my experience as giantkin (or smth similar)

so basically, from what i can sense, i’m basically just a scaled up human with minor varying features. my ears were pretty pointy, basically like elf ears. other physical features are lost but i’m certain on the ears.

as for my exact size, i’m still unsure. i’d guess maybe 23-25 feet roughly? but i’m still uncertain on specifics.

idk. i feel like i’m one of the only (active) giantkins out there. which makes me kinda sad but that means that i can help people by explaining my experience! maybe i can find more!

i kinda wanna do some kin posting but i don’t know what to post about. so. im just gonna post about my most recent fictotype.

uh hi. im doppo kannonzaka (apparently). i have some memories of my canon, mostly based on this fan art my friend sent me once. that fan art is basically what awoke this kintype for me. i don’t fully know how to define this kintype, since, as i said, i have memories, but i kinda feel like i’m still doppo even now. it’s kinda like… i was ripped from my canon and placed into this body for whatever reason. im still me, im still doppo, just in a different form. that’s how i’d describe this and some other kintypes. they weren’t just me before, they’re me now.

in my canon, i remember being in a polyamorous relationship with the rest of matenrou, that being hifumi izanami and jakurai jinguji. i’ll be honest, i’ve only seen one or two hifumi kins in the wild, and zero jakurais. i don’t have a chance of finding my canonmates.

along with being in a polycule, other things were different. i was a trans male (and still am, the universe wants to fuck with me i guess). but that wasn’t the only difference. since a specific fan art is what awoke this kintype, my canon is somewhat based off the fan art itself. it was a size difference based, maybe ship art, of me and jakurai. i was small, and he was holding me in his hands. maybe it’s the g/t fan in me talking but it just kinda made this kintype click.

i remember being normal sized at one point, but the timeline is all fucked in my head, so i don’t know when i became small.

that’s pretty much it for specific canon details. this post really had no purpose other than dumping out canon details.

You know how many years I have wasted trying to convince myself that I was something more mainstream like a fox or a wolf?

All because I didn’t want to admit my actual kintype because I thought it was ugly at the time

I basically gaslit myself into falling under the ‘characteristics’ of a wolf because that was the majority of the community’s species

And when I didn’t shift or have the memories of a wolf I felt even worse about myself and thought I was doing something wrong

A delicious recipe for lovers of light, fluffy, sweet foods!

INGREDIENTS:

- 1 banana

- a bunch of whipped cream (I didn't measure, maybe a few cups???)

- a teaspoon of honey (add to taste)

I personally like using a fork to mash the banana up before adding the other ingredients, but you don't need to.

Basically all you're doing is mixing the ingredients together. It's a super tasty sweet snack, though! I'm thinking angelkin, deitykin and ghostkin might like it best!
