When Did This Happen? Part 1
I’m thinking about this being a 3 parts series. Tell me if I should write the next chapters, already have some ideas in my head. Pairing: Loki x Reader Word Count: 444 Warnings: none
You are an introvert. That means, among other things, that you love alone time and silence. You love your personality, really, but those things always have made it difficult for you to make friends and keep them.
And those things also are what let you to this moment. Alone, in the living room of the Avengers Tower, watching The Office US while the entire team are enjoying the big party the playboy (his words) Tony Stark is throwing tonight. You’re not complaining, though, this allows you to watch your favorite show on the really gigantic TV of the living room.
The party started not so long ago, so you are a little surprised when you hear steps coming from the hallway and getting louder, indicating that someone is approaching. And if you weren’t expecting someone from the team to be there, what you were expecting even less was for Loki being there. He lives in New Asgard with Thor and doesn’t usually go to the tower.
“Loki?” You ask in the moment he passes the doorway and he, just then, seems to notice you. “You need something?”
Instead of answering your question, he stares at you for some time and lets another question out. “What are you doing here? There’s a party out there.”
“Yeah, I’m not really a fan of parties. And I could ask you the same question. Actually, you didn’t answer mine, do you need something?”
One more time, he doesn’t respond and you just roll your eyes and look back at TV, knowing that it would be useless to discuss with the god. He again surprises you when he just sits on the couch you’re onto and starts watching as if this was something normal.
You two keep watching, and laughing, until your eyes start getting heavy and you stand up with a yawn. “I’m going to sleep. You can keep watching if you want, I’ve watched before.”.
“Maybe I will. Can I get your number, though?” Well, you aren’t expecting this, and with your silence he continues. “I’m thinking about keeping watching once I’m back at New Asgard. And if I am going to do this I would like to talk to you about it. That is, if you are good with that.”
You hesitate a little, but think Why not? What could go wrong?. And with that, you give your number to the god.
“I was going to pull a prank.” He says when you are almost out of the room.
“What?”
“When I came here, I was going to prank the Avengers, you know, to get some fun. But I guess what I found was way better.”

You certainly weren’t expecting this to happen, but Loki actually watched The Office and commented about the show with you. What wasn’t a surprise though was Dwight becoming his favorite character.
Beyond talking about the show, as the time passed, your conversations with the god started reaching other topics and now, one month later, you could say that you two are friends. Every morning you’d wake up to a message of “good morning” from Loki and every now and then the two of you would watch or read the same thing at the same time, while on a phone call to comment about it. You were expecting to do this today, since the team is going to be out on a mission and you will be able to keep the living room’s tv all to yourself, but when you asked Loki about it, he said he had other things to do. So, watching all alone it is.
When it is later that day and the team is out, you prepare yourself some popcorn and get some snacks before settling on the couch. When you are about to hit play, a voice comes from the doorway. “Starting without me, darling?”
And when you look at the source of the voice, Loki is there with his arms crossed above his chest and that characteristic grin on his face. “Loki, what are you- I mean, when did you- How did you enter here?”. With that, his mischievous grin just got bigger.
“So many questions. All you need to know is that I have my methods.” He says while walking towards the couch you’re on and sitting casually, exactly like the day of the party. “So, are we going to watch this movie or are we going to continue with the interrogation?”
“You said you had things to do, how are you here now?” At that, he sighs and turns his attention to you.
“Apparently, we are going with the interrogation. I just wanted to make a surprise, I thought we could watch together, really together, like that other night.” He pauses. “But, I can go if that’s what you want.”
“No! I- You can stay here, it’s just that I wasn’t expecting you, that’s all. I’m glad you’re here.” At this point, both you and he are with little smiles on your faces. A few seconds pass, before you look at the tv and press play. A few minutes on the movie, and Loki puts your feet on his lap and starts massaging them, like it’s a normal thing. Maybe it is, you just never had any close friends before. Well, one thing you know, this is way better than being alone.

When the movie ended, you and Loki still kept talking for some time, enjoying each other's company, and he helped you clean things before he went home. You still stayed in the living room until the team came back from the mission and let you know everything went well.
Once in your bedroom, you think back to your day with Loki. You’ve never had anything like this before, someone that would get out of their way to just spend the afternoon hanging out with you, that would send you texts in the morning and updates about their days. It feels good, you think.
When you go to sleep, you are already looking forward to answering the “good morning” text from Loki tomorrow. When you wake up, though, there’s no message from him. That’s never happened before.

Imagine on the elevator, Thor talks to Loki about a girl he met while on Midgard, having no idea that girl happened to be Loki girlfriend of 6 years, you.
"I'm sorry, my lady." Thor's voice booms throughout the kitchen after having bumped into you after turning away from the fridge. You smiled softly and nodded your head in thanks. "It's no problem Thor." you said. "Would you like to have lunch with me, my lady? Everyone seems to be out of the Compound at the moment." Thor asks in a surprisingly soft voice. "Why the hell not? My name is Y/N L/N, by the way." You smiled widely. "It is nice to meet you, lady Y/N. What would you like to eat?" Thor grins, gesturing to open-planned kitchen in the Avengers Compound. "I'll just take a plate of F/F from the fridge, Thor. Thank you." You spoke before sitting at the dinning room table, as Thor plated both you and him some F/F. After heating both plates up, Thor flopped into the chair next to the one you were sitting in, after putting both plates on the table. You and Thor got to know one another as you both ate. Loki had told you about Thor and stories about when they were little, but you didn't think Thor would have such Golden Retriever energy based off of what Loki had said. You guys eventually went separate ways as Thor said he was off to the gym. You bid goodbyes as you went back to Loki's room. As you arrived at Loki's room, you could see him walking down the hall towards the Elevator. "I'm going to get a new book, my Queen." Loki spoke softly but loud enough for you to hear, without turning around, as if sensing your confusion. "Ok, I'll be in your bedroom, my King." You spoke before heading into Loki's room and closing the door.
Loki got to the elevator the same time as Thor, and coincidentally the Library and gym are one floor apart. Going the same way, down. Thor held the elevator doors open for his brother which had Loki nodding his thanks. "I met such a wonderful maiden today, brother." Thor announced as the elevator doors closed. Loki raised an eyebrow in question, which Thor noticed. "Why yes, she was the upmost kind and sweet woman I've ever met. I think you would love her. She has a mischievous side but also has a kind and caring nurture to her. I think you and her would get along great after some of the pranks she told me she's pulled on her older brother." Thor explained with a bright smile. "Who is this, you speak of Thor?" Loki questioned with genuine curiosity. "Her name was Y/N L/N. She was brilliant, she was." Thor spoke, with wild gestures of his hands, before smiling at his brother. "I think you and her would get along great." He added quickly, noticing Loki's amusement to the situation. Loki nodded with a mischievous sparkle to his eyes. "I'll keep that in mind, brother. Thank you." He spoke with a hint of a smile pulling at his lips. "No problem, brother." Thor grinned while giving Loki a pat on the back.
As Thor and Loki went their separate ways once arriving to the destined floor, Loki smiled to himself, a genuine smile, just thinking about you and thinking he's ready to tell the team about you. He knows you're the one for him. You complete him. You make him feel things he's never felt before. You are the love of his life. He doesn't know what he would do without you. You make him a better person. Loki is happy for the first time in what feels like forever because of you. He is beyond grateful he met you. He would go to the end of the Nine Realms for you. He would kill for you. He would do anything you asked of him. You have him wrapped around your finger like there is no tomorrow.
Steve: Hey, what have you two been up to?
Thor: We were helping Y/N write their vows, but they kicked us out because Bucky was making inappropriate suggestions.
Bucky: How is “Loki, I love your sweet ass” inappropriate?
It's ashamed what the MCU did to Wanda because why introduce her being the Scarlet Witch and build up something important about witches and how Wanda is basically their High Priestess then end up killing her off. Because I look at people like Agatha, Loki, and Sylvie and just think it's terrible that Wanda never got to connect with her inner witch and be around other witches who could understand her instead of the Avengers. I know Sylvie doesn't know as much as Loki does but still. It's make me think could Wanda possibly do what Sylvie does with the whole possessing people, because what Wanda does is mind control and Sylvie possesses people with her magic.

I’d say Ragnarok Loki is more INFP. I’ll explain why I believe this. Introverted over Extroverted: he doesn’t seem to go out of his way to talk with people, nor does he seem to need others to feel much more energized. I know that socialization can help pretty much anyone to feel better, but if anything he just seems tired on the ship at the end of the movie. On a scale o from 1 to 10, 1 being extremely introverted, and 10 being extremely extroverted, I’d have him at a 4, a careful middle leaning toward introversion.
Intuition over Sensing: “Always so perceptive, about everyone but yourself”. He’s incredibly skilled at sorcery; his interest in reading, history, culture, would all point to someone artistically inclined or with a creative, intelligent mind. When we get a look at the young female Loki in the Loki series, we see that she is playing with dolls. If her desire to play with fantasy rather than physical activities carries over into the male Loki we all know and love (I would not say her counterpart because all the Loki variants are different in many ways) that’s yet another thing to convince me. I just want to say that if his interests were this impressive and he’s really this into knowledge, then a modern earth Loki would understand references from thousands of obscure or popular sources.
Feeling over Thinking: that aloof indifference is all his mask. He truly cares about other people, deep down, though he may not show it often. Whether his emotional unavailability is caused by the torture he endured while imprisoned by the Black Order or his apparent childhood trauma, he does have feelings. This isn’t to say he won’t hurt people’s feelings deliberately out of spite (or even grief). The look in his eyes when releasing Valkyrie from his mind-walking hold just seems like he’s absorbing all that he’s just seen (because surely he went in and tried to see more than that) screams “My god, I know your pain, I know what it’s like to want to give up and throw yourself away due to failure after failure, letting others down when they need you, trying to distance yourself when you know that you can never stop caring.” And maybe that’s just my intuition talking, but I can really feel when other people have felt the same pain I have.
Perceiving over Judging: he’s impulsive, yes, but this was harder to decide than the others. I actually have a book on MBTI types in children to teenagers. Perceivers like flexibility and spontaneity, they find the rules to be limiting and strict, they’re very curious and impulsive and they love to adapt to things that are usually frustrating to others. Loki exhibits many of those traits, however he also has a few judging traits.

Honestly at first I thought he was ENFJ or INFJ.
No.
First, let’s make it clear that it’s hard to type a character accurately 100%. Unless of course you are the creator of said character or are the character in question.
That being said, I’ve noticed people saying that Loki is an INTP; and that is ridiculous. As an INTP, I just don’t see it. He may pretend to be, but he’s crazily emotional and very short sighted. If anything I’d say he’s an ISFJ. (I’m not going to go into huge detail here, but…)
1. He refuses to listen to what others are saying because he’s too blinded by what he’s experienced. (S)
2. He’s fueled by his emotions, he may keep them in check sometimes; but everything stems from how he’s feeling what his mood is.
I am by no means an expert here so refrain from any abuse and such, because I’m not one of those crazy fans etc. Though feel free to discuss your take on it. I just don’t think he’s an INTP. I suppose you could mistake his F for T because you’re comparing him to Thor, which makes him seem more a T; but there are other factors to take into consideration. This is not a black and white subject.
