I decided from now on i would post things besides horror, i drew this recently on ibispaint and the quality isn’t that great ;-;
I had always been fascinated by Marie Antoinette, honestly she was too ill prepared to be queen, I’m aware there are times where she wasn’t such a terrible ruler, but also not a good one either, but she is a flawed person like the rest of us, we all have our flaws.
For this drawing i wanted a mix of this portrait of young Marie and Pauline Pollmann who played Marie in Jeanne Du Barry (2023) which honestly is my favourite actress to play Marie (besides Kirsten Dunst, please don’t after me ;-;)
And her outfit is based on the outfit that Pauline is wearing in the film, i haven’t digitally drawed in a while and this drawing was only intended for me to trace since i had trouble drawing her face accurately but i ended up making it a drawing instead for me to share here!
Overall I’m satisfied on how it turned out and i hope you all enjoyed my drawing too!

so it's three in the morning so excuse my ramblings but:
Marie Antoinette, first of all, did NOT say "let them eat cake" the girl was literally fed on a silver spoon, what did you expect? There's no actual evidence supporting this.
She was still a child when she was married off to Louis XVI! It was a political alliance, you can't possibly expect a 14 y/o to rule a whole nation.
Her world was Austria. She was born and raised there. France was an entirely new world for her. She knew nothing of the customs, the traditions. What could she do?
It's said that her last words were to her executioner for apologizing for stepping on his shoes. Does that really strike you as something someone so apparently heartless would say, even if she were trying to save herself? No. I didn't think so.
It's all easy to say from here but my point is that maybe we shouldn't treat her a some plain narcissistic queen—I believe she, like everyone, had her own issues and a complicated personality.
So I was researching Marie Antoinette's sexual orientation, since I had heard some previous claims stating she was sapphic, and I was DISGUSTED with what I found. The pornographic propaganda is just outrageous. I know I'm supposed to be like "WOWIE!! WOAH!! GAY GAY GAY!!" But NO!? That is horrible to make of an actual person. A child, almost. She was, what, 18? 19? Whether she actually did any of that or not, (I don't think she did, however) that content is horrible. I have had smut written about me and sent to the school, and I don't want it to happen to anyone else. Especially not if I was the QUEEN and that stuff was spreading around the country. Ew, Ew, Ew.
I was just horrified. Honestly, wtf y'all.
