I would say yes.

Although well, their relationship is almost like the series and what is to come. Macaque was present at the most crucial moments in his life during these 17 years, so they are closer than at the beginning of their first interaction.

And yes, Wukong is jealous, or rather, feels replaced.

Of course I do; I actually have some ideas, but what I lack is time.

Because of my schedule, sometimes I use the time I have left to draw instead of sleeping. Hahaha... Just kidding.

Uhmmm, I think so.

In the series, it was briefly shown that he is kind to children, or so I want to believe. If Azure Lion introduced himself the same way he did with MK and Mei, the youngest, Hao and BaoBao, would be delighted to meet him and hang on to his back or mane.

Although in this AU, their first meeting doesn't give them enough time to create good impressions, and that's because the person who opened the scroll was one of the children, so... yeah.

I think Azure Lion lost that good first meeting with the kids.

You're asking me if they still watch that show? But of course they do.

Sometimes MK plays it in the background when he's cooking or when the kids don't have anything to watch on TV.

It's almost like his backup series.

He still has them (ouo)

I mean, when I mentioned that MK left the Monkey King's things, like his merchandise, I thought it would be more like keeping them in a very hidden place. So his stock figures, clothes, movies, or any related products are in boxes marked with names and kept in a very hidden place in his new home.

Although, as I showed here, the fact that he had Monkey King clothes since childhood helped him meet some needs, such as giving clothes to his children.

So both his pajamas and his first changes of clothes were all inherited from MK to the children; the only things he hasn't taken out again are the other things. Like sketches, drawings and some figurines.

But once every year, while cleaning some things in the apartment, he looks at the boxes and remembers how it all started after he picked up the staff.

And only then does he allow himself to miss the Monkey King a little.

Although that changes when he returns, but that's another story for another day~

I think they all have the same face; they are legos XD

But on a serious note, yes, when Dishi was younger, he looked a lot like MK when he was a kid.

I would say yes and no...

While Mei was between wanting to give it a chance and thinking about certain things that puzzled her about the children's mother, but since she wasn't in a relationship at the time, she didn't know if they were normal. An example of that was that sometimes the girl was somewhat insecure around her, and other times she was subtly passive-aggressive regarding her friendship with MK.

She was never direct with her, and that made her uncomfortable.

Red Son was one of the first to not take kindly to the fact that MK suddenly got someone pregnant.

Although, knowing MK, that may or may not be weird. Do you understand me?

And for his part, he didn't know the children's mother as well as Mei. But his impression of her was not very good, perhaps because of her attitude as they became more involved. Let's call it his sixth sense.

I should also highlight that the children's mother would not relate to them if it were not for MK, who functioned as the only connection between her, Red Son, and Mei. However, that didn't guarantee that his two best friends and the most special person to him would get along.

As for Macaque, he only had a superficial impression of her, but being the person with the sharpest perspective, he subtly advised MK on whether it wouldn't be better to take things slower regarding their relationship. Unfortunately, MK tried not to take his words seriously, and the topic was left unfinished.

Until, of course... the separation.

Macaque had to keep his words to himself when all the clues he gave MK were revealed with the departure of the children's mother. It was an awkward moment.

“and if it had been up to MK, BaoBao wouldn't have been the last, hahaha…” oh that not- “she was feeling stuck.” MK WHAT DID YOU DO??!!

Hypothetically, what do you think Huntsman, Goliath, and Syntax would've looked like in the MK Dad AU?

Well hypothetically:

A) They had a redemption arc or…

B) They did not have a redemption arc and continued as they were in the series.

Although thinking more about option (B), that means that the Spider Queen survived somehow, and that would be something interesting.

I'm sorry to say that for now, MK Dad AU is on hiatus (U.U)

And it's not because I lack ideas, but because, at the moment, I don't have much interest, and I don't know when I'll get back to it. But I can share with you some sketches I made before I became obsessed with COTL.

Because yeah, I'm a little into that right now hehe...

But anyway, here are some of the sketches I made based on some little ideas I had at the time:

A little interaction with the main MK clones, although I didn't get around to drawing all of them.

I was still figuring out how to draw Lego style. I think that's part of the reason I left it unfinished because by then I had already changed the way I drew them.

A little interaction between DingBang and his little brother Mao. I think this was intended to be a small animatic or some comic.

These little guys wanted to make a video of their dad to sell for candy or something XD

The children. This was a letter of introduction.

They are ordered from oldest to youngest: Dishi, 13 years old, DingBang, 12 years old, Hao, 10 years old, Mao, 8 years old, and BaoBao, 5 years old.

This one just needed a proper background and some corrections to the text, and it would be done.

And that's without getting to scribble down all the ideas I had for this AU, but well, only time will tell if I'll come back to it...
