Write what you learn

You don't always have to "write what you know." You can write what you learn!

Don't have experience in something to write it convincingly? Read, research, and ask questions. It's the best way to grow as a writer.

I don’t like it when people use the books to say Michael healed after being scooped and got normal again. Okay?? Lame?? Where’s the irreversible consequences? Where’s the living long past your prime fueled purely by spite? Where’s the destroyed possibility of ever having a normal life? What about never being able to truly move past what you and your family did in the past because your literal body is a reminder of it? Where’s my gross, stinky wet cat loser who’s weird looking?

Why would you sacrifice all the symbolism, implications, horror and everything else that comes with The Scooper for the sake of book lore? Why would you want that at all? Keep him dead and stinky, please.

(The FNaF canon is putty in our hands and you can interpret this nightmare franchise any way you want. I’m not mad at you if you support a hc that I don’t. This is just an over dramatic way for me to say how I personally interpret this story)

As much as i do enjoy the kind of story undertale presents and i do enjoy the gameplay, i do ultimately come away with feeling like ultimately, part of the message of the work is that there is a correct way and an incorrect way of engaging with video games as art, and that the game’s creator is the one who sets that correct path. Undertale is, in part, about teaching you to engage with undertale correctly, and punishing you with a far worse time if you don’t engage with it the way the author wants you to. It’s about playing the role in the stage play correctly. Saying the right things to the characters you interact with.

NICK NELSON & CHARLIE SPRING — 2x08 "PERFECT"

I am absolutely obsessed with this bit because it feels like an intentional way of giving the audience a glimpse into Nick and Charlie's future as a married couple. It's just the two of them saying goodbye to their friends, but you get the sense that this house is theirs — it's their home; they just hosted a party, and now they're going to bed. They're teenagers but already so established and so comfortable in being together that they look like they've been married for 10 years. It's so beautiful and, in a way, quite subtle, but I'm in love with it.
