just a few quotes off the top of my head, these sound like i love yous to me but sure. he didn’t specifically say those three words so obviously it doesn’t count.
I see a lot of people being anti IC these days and I think it's good we're not gaslighting ourselves anymore. Still I wouldn't say I'm exactly anti IC I'm just more IC critical. Cuz l still love their dynamics, simp for the batboys, and like the ships. Especially if we're talking about the version of the IC with the Archeron sisters (nesta is queen). BUT I feel the fandom used to ignore just how badly the IC fucked up and that other charecters were just as if not more interesting (the valkyries, Vanserra brothers, even the Summer court trio). Like Feysand pretty much ruined millions of people's lives just cause they had a personal feud with Tamlin. Don't get me wrong he fucked up but honestly not more than a lot of the IC, but that's not the point. The Spring court became practically uninhabitable and Feysand, who is supposedly super powerful didn't bother helping. Cassian, a good charecter and male, is really to much of Rhysands dog and don't even get me started on how he (and the rest of the IC) treated Nesta, his literal MATE. Mor is honestly so problematic, I'd have to post a whole ass essay on that.

Acotar fandom, I have a question and I need answers.
I see a lot of people talking about how some characters "became" mates, or how the mating bond was "created".
From my understanding (that can be completely wrong) mating bonds were always "inside" the characters and then, when they are mature enough or for some other sort of reason, snapped. That the concept of "mates" is basically the same as "soulmates" but made more literal.
This idea was only further "confirmed" when Cassian had that speech in ACOWAR, telling Nesta that he would find her in another life. For me, it kinda meant that mating bonds are connections not for life, but for eternity. And that's the reason mates are so complementary and represent things that go "further" than life. For example, Nesta represents Death and Cassian represents War, two things that are connected in all universes and times. Like Feysand with Night and Stars. And so, they are born and die with it, and that's the reason the bond is unbreakable.
Are there any passages in the book indicating bonds are created or is it just something up to interpretation?
