the mystery drabble game, by @sweetdejun
I’m so happy to finally share this with you all!!
i’ve been working on this game for a few weeks, and now that my previous drabble game is officially over, here’s my new drabble game!
so this is how it’s going to work:
you can request anyone, I will write for pdx101, x1, bts, got7, day6, nct, sf9, ikon and others. all you need to do is the following:
1. pick your muse (who do you want me to write for?)
2. pick a number from 1-19 (this is going to be the ‘prompt’ per se; it can be how you meet, a moment in your relationship or even a line of dialogue.)
the catch: the only thing you can control is who this is going to be with. the prompt will determine whether it will come out as angsty or fluffy. each time someone requests something, I will display the number they chose, along with what it is (i’ll write out the prompt, so eventually everyone will know what number corresponds with what prompt) dm me if any of this is confusing, but without further ado, requests are open!
p. s. if you really want something angsty, I suggest going for prompts 5, 13 or 19.
16 & moon hyunbin?
here it is! I hope this turned out as good as I thought it would, and I hope you enjoy it!!
16. you meet him for the first time... and you fall into his arms.
[7:43 a.m.] your luck has never been on your side ever since you could grasp the concept of luck itself. a few instances of your luck not shining through flash in your head: when you were 6, you were the first to fall asleep at the sleepover you threw. when you were 10, you nearly cried for two hours because you couldn’t find a ring (it was quite expensive) that was found under your pillow. when you were 14, your parents happened to walk in when the only racy scene in a movie started playing on the tv. now you’re 18, and surprisingly you haven’t experienced anything too terrible that was worth repressing. but maybe, you spoke too soon. the rain fell hard onto your car, as you hurriedly parked it in the student lot. of course, you’re going to be late to school on your first day; it’s a new school and you don’t know where your classes are. you’re stuck in traffic because when people see rain, they miraculously forget how to drive. on top of that, you didn’t bring your umbrella this morning because when you checked the forecast, there were no signs of rain. “great, it’s just my shitty luck.” you grumble, leaning your arm against the window and resting your head in your hand. the line moves at the pace of a snail, and the rain doesn’t seem to be clearing up any time soon.
by the time you reached the school campus, it was around 7:59 a.m. and the first period starts at 8. “I’ll be late, anyway. I shouldn’t even attempt to run and slip on my way in.” so you parked your car and walked in the rain as fast as you could until you entered the building. the first thing you did was find a bathroom. once you were inside, you silently thanked the school for having hand dryers. so there you stood, drying yourself, then your backpack. and although you couldn’t get either one to dry up completely, you did what you could and began making your way to your first class. upon entering the classroom, the teacher scoffed, “look at the time. is this a time to come into your first class?” embarrassed, you tugged on the hem of your shirt, before stuttering, “I-I apologize. I’m a new student here and, I got lost. I also got caught in the rain, so that’s why it took me longer to get here. I’m so sorry.” you saw a flash of sympathy on the teacher’s face; she probably felt bad for you, but you saw it for a second. she cleared her throat and asked you to come in. at this point, all you needed was to find an empty seat. you blocked out the whispers and stares of the surrounding students and quickly sat in a seat, settling down before pulling out your dry (thank god) notebook and a pen.
just like that, most of your day went by, problem-free. well, except for you have yet to find friends. thankfully, because it’s the first day of classes, people are advertising different clubs, trying to get new students to sign up for them. so, during your lunch break, you decided to head to the bulletin board where they had posted the club sign-up sheets. you examine the different clubs the school has to offer: gardening, theatre, cooking club. but there’s one that catches your eye, and that is acapella club. with a small smile on your face, you read the details about the club, adding your name and info onto it. “can’t wait to see you at our first meeting!” a voice says behind you, immediately startling you. somehow you lost your balance, and began falling back when two arms secured themselves around your waist, you back into your original position. “are you okay?” you turn to see the face of your savior, and it’s a boy around your age, with feline eyes and a soft grin settled on his pink lips. wow, he’s cute, you think and he laughs, his cheeks becoming slightly pink. “thanks, I guess.” your eyes widened. “did I just say that out loud?” you ask him and he nodded. you shut your eyes tight, in horror. “don’t worry about it too much. I’m hyunbin, by the way.” you tell him your name, and he smiles, before replying, “pretty name for a pretty girl. I’ll see you on the day of the first meeting.” he sends you a playful wink before retreating back towards the cafeteria. and for once, you thanked your luck.
1 with Jinhyuk? (pdx)
here it is! I had fun writing this one too, I hope you enjoy the read!!
1. things get messy the first time you meet.
[12:35 p.m.] finals week is a pain. that is something everyone can agree on; whether they’re high school finals or graduate school finals, everyone dreads the two weeks of studying and more studying, and a little more studying before going into their exams before either absolutely bombing them or absolutely passing them with flying colors. you would think that after seven semesters, you would have tackling finals in the bag. oh, how you’ve never been more wrong. here you sat: in the local campus cafe, your notes splayed out in front of you and different colored highlighters decorating said notes. you’ve been sitting there for about four hours now. it’s routine at this point: you study for an hour, then take a 15 min break and go get yourself a small latte. you would sip it slowly before realizing you had five minutes, then you would resort to chugging the hot coffee, and then you would continue studying. as of currently, you’re done with differential calculus, biochemistry and are about 80% through with inorganic chemistry. you look at the time and decide to take another break. you get up and head to the cash register with your wallet. you give the cashier your card as she says, “coming right up, y/n!” you give her a quick ‘thank you’ before returning to your seat and stretching a little. you know it’s dangerous to ingest the amount of caffeine you’ve had today, because you’re sure you’ve had enough to coffee to keep you awake for a year. but, you’ll do anything to pass that final. even if it means becoming a jittery mess by the end of it.
“one small vanilla latte for y/n!” the girl calls out, shaking you out of your thoughts. you beeline over to the serving station, where you pick up your coffee and turn around when BAAM. the coffee is pushed into your chest and spills all over your hoodie, the cup and its lid now abandoned onto the floor. you look up at the person who’s pushed the hot beverage against you to find it to be none other than lee jinhyuk, campus flirt and also top science student. you briefly know of each other because you’ve shared a handful of classes these past four years, but you’ve never actually spoken to each other. his eyes widen at the growing mess now splashed on your black hoodie and it was at this moment that you were glad you had a thick hoodie on, although you could slightly feel the warmth of the coffee that managed to seep through the fabric. “I’m so sorry, y/n! are you okay?” jinhyuk’s voice rings in your ears, and you just blink back at him. the color begins draining from his face as he sees your gaze gradually becoming more venomous by the second. you take a deep breath, closing your eyes. then you exhale, and you open them back up before giving jinhyuk a deathly smile. “it’s all good. i’m just going to go take a seat.” you grab the napkins jinhyuk frantically held in his hands and start dabbing at your hoodie, grumbling with low set eyes and you walk back over to your seat. not less than ten minutes later, a chair is pulled in front of you, and jinhyuk sits with two styrofoam cups in his hands. “here,” he offers you something. you look up at him and the steam radiating from the hot liquid. you assume it’s his way of apologizing, and right now, you need to take a break from chemistry, or you will lose it.
“thank you, jinhyuk.” you take a sip and your eyes shut in pleasure. it’s the same coffee you had ordered not too long ago; the coffee that you were now wearing. “how’d you know what it was?” you ask him, and he smiles, perhaps relieved that you didn’t lash out on him, or anything. “I’m personally not a coffee drinker myself; I prefer tea, but I asked the barista what you ordered, and she just told me what it was. so I ordered one. I’m sorry about dropping your coffee.” you take another sip of the liquid, before shaking your head, “it’s not a big deal, really. I guess I just... was moody. you know what finals can do to a person. I should be the one apologizing for the way I talked to you. it wasn’t your fault, I should’ve payed attention.” nodding, he drank his beverage. “is that inorganic chemistry?” you motions with his eyebrows towards the endless stack of papers sitting in front of you. you nod weakly, which then leads him to ask, “do you mind if I look at your notes?” you push them towards him. he picks them up and scans over them, inwardly noting how cute the little drawings of flowers and hearts were, adorned in the corners of the papers. “do you want me to help explain this to you?” you raised your eyebrows in protest. “no, I’m good. I don’t wanna keep you from studying or anything. you probably need to study for your exams too. thank you for the offer, but really, I’ll be fine.” jinhyuk leans in a bit, and the tips of your ears began to heat up. “listen, I don’t mind helping you study. I only have my inorganic chemistry final left, so if anything I’ll be helping the both of us out. and, if I can get the opportunity to study with a pretty girl like you, then of course I’m going to take it.” your eyebrows shot up at this. jinhyuk smirked at your silence and got up. “so i’ll see you at the library later at 5, deal? now come with me, let’s go get some food in you and not caffeine.” and with that, jinhyuk helps you pack you stuff and takes you by the hand towards the school cafeteria, and you follow, admiring the way your hand looks intertwined with his.
hey! can you please write keumdong + 17? thank you! hopefully this request doesn't trouble you too much :)
aww it wasn’t much trouble at all! thank you for requesting it, I really hope you like it!!
17. he does something sweet for you.
[5:47 p.m.] your day’s been nothing short of awful. this morning when you were leaving to university, you forgot to get gas, so you had to rush to a gas station. because of that, you were late to class, and your TA called you out in front of everyone. then, as if matters couldn’t get worse, you bought a coke from a vending machine and when you opened it, the fizz leaked out of the bottle and into your hands, causing a small spill. the spill was on carpet but your hands were all sticky and you felt bad, so you grabbed napkins and attempted to soak up the spilled beverage. then you went to wash your hands, only for the bathroom to run out of paper towels and there was no hand dryer either. so you left your university, hands wet and a frown etched on your face. you drove back to your apartment and halfway through you realized that you forgot to print something out that you needed the next morning for class, and you’re not sure if you ever replaced the ink cartilage in your printer. once you parked your car, you trudged into your apartment. “this day can’t get any worse.” you say aloud, sheer annoyance in your voice. you changed out of your school clothes and into pajamas. you had just sat down on your couch, after your incredibly long day, and right then, you get a phone call. it’s from your boss; he tells you that he won’t need you to come in for the week, because they’re trying to change around the schedule for some reason. you, with a shaky voice tell him it’s okay before hanging up the call.
that’s the final straw, and you just break down then and there. tears of frustration roll down your pink cheeks and you’re furiously wiping away at them. you’re groaning in frustration, and just then, you hear your door unlock. you lean your head back on the couch, still crying and you hear rushed footsteps getting closer to you. “y/n, oh my god, is everything okay?” you feel the back of your head starting to throb in pain, and you clench your teeth. “donghyun, can you just hold me?” hearing your broken voice ignites some ache inside of him, as if his heart was ripped out of his chest. he’s never heard you like this; you’ve always been his strong y/n, and no matter what happened to you throughout the day, he would always walk in on a smiling you. you just hold him tight, arms squeezed around his waist, and your head buried in his abdomen. he cradles you in his arms, occasionally patting your back, and until he’s absolutely sure you’ve calmed down to an extent, he gently hold your head in his hands, and picks up your head. you look at him with red eyes and a red nose. you still look breathtaking to him, he thinks, and then he asks, “do you wanna talk about it?” after having him sit on the couch, you lay your head in his lap and tell him about your day, and he threads his fingers through your hair, separating the strands. he listens to each word coming out of your mouth and you see different emotions flash through his eyes as you narrate your day further on. after some moments of silence, you looks down on you, orbs running across your features and then softly says, “my strong y/n is still as strong as she was when I met her five years ago. you’ve gone through so much today, and you are still so strong. you can handle more than you think but of course there are days that will end like this. that’s life, and we have to be head strong and tackle them, which you did, really well. I’m so proud of you, honey. but I think you deserve a happy ending today, as you should everyday.”
he kisses your forehead tenderly, and wipes any remaining tears that bunched up in the corners of your eyes. “tell you what, why don’t you chill here for a few minutes, I’ll be right back.” he rushed into your bedroom, and you can hear the faintest of sounds, but you can’t quite decipher what they actually are. you lean your back into the couch yet again and close your eyes. silence fills the room and your breathing slows down when suddenly, two arms engulf you, and you’re alarmed. “it’s fine, I’ve got you, princess.” donghyun says into your hair, as he carries you bridal-style to your bedroom, passing through it and stopping in the bathroom. you see your bathtub full, with the remnants of a bath bomb, bubbles floating on the surface. you see candles lit on the corners of the tub and your shower speaker is on and connected to a playlist you liked. you feel donghyun tugging your clothes off of you before he began to undress. slowly stepping into the tub, he held your hand and helped you in as well. he sat on one end, legs stretched out to the other end and he pulls you against him so that your back is in direct contact with his chest. he wraps his arms around your waist, but not tight. just enough to feel like your in his embrace. “this is so sweet, donghyun. thank you for this.” you rest your head back in the junction between his collarbone and neck, and tilt your head up to leave a small peck under his jaw. he reciprocates by leaning down and placing small kisses on your shoulder. “anything for you, my love.”
6 + koo jungmo?
thank you for requesting this! this was also shorter compared to my usual works but regardless of that, I hope you really like it~~
p.s. I changed the tense of the prompt in this one, but below is the original prompt.
6. “I sing that verse better than you.”
[3:11 p.m.] you are lazing around with jungmo today. you have one more week until summer’s officially over and you’ll be back to working again, and jungmo happened to be free this week, so you had him stay at your apartment with you. “what do you wanna do?” jungmo voices, his head in your lap as you scroll through social media on your phone. “hmm, I got nothing.” you throw your head back into the cushion of the couch and close your eyes, in thought. “how about a riff off?” jungmo suggests. you snicker at this and look down at him. “c’mon, babe, we both know how that’s going to turn out.” jungmo’s eyes display his confusion at your reaction, and you clarify, “you’ll do great because you sing professionally, but I’ll do better because I have amazing pipes, and I don’t even do this for a living.” you stick your tongue out, teasing him, to which jungmo dramatically scoffs, “is that a challenge? oh, you’re on, y/l/n!”
and so you find yourself sitting with your legs crossed in front of jungmo, and you found a riff off category generator on the internet, which generated categories for you and you had to sing a song that corresponded with the category in under 20 seconds. “who goes first?” you ask him, the competitive spirit in your eyes evident to jungmo, and he smirks. “rock, paper, scissors. best of three.” you agree with his suggestion, and you play. he ends up winning, so he goes first. “edm songs” is the first category. “I’m starting the timer,” you tell him, gaze shifting between the screen and jungmo. then, as if he has a lightbulb moment, his eyes light up and he sings, “we got that power, power, 니가 나를 볼 때, 서로 같은 마음이 느껴질 때. power, power, 더 강해지는걸, Turn the music up now, now, now, now.” he sings, and his voice is clean. he’s so talented, you think in your head. but those sweet thoughts quickly fade away, and your competitive persona came forward again, as jungmo does a little dance. “I got a point! haah, in your face! this is fun, I like this game.” you squint your eyes at him, and tell him, “choose the next category.” he presses the mouse and it generates the next category: “songs of the 90′s”. you silently thank your luck, because 90′s and some decades before that are your forte. “starting the timer, good luck,” jungmo says, and starts the countdown. “나를 믿어주길 바래 함께 있어, Cause I’m your girl hold me baby 너를 닮아가는 내 모습 지켜봐줘, Stay with me last forever.” you hold jungmo’s hand and cheesily wink at him while singing this. his cheeks flush a bit, and you smile at your win.
and this way, you two keep playing. it’s been a few rounds, but both of you seem to be getting songs that match the category. “okay, the last one, winner takes all. we’ll just choose the last category and whoever sings the song first wins. deal?” you stick your hand out for jungmo to shake, which he gladly does. “one, two, three.” you both countdown and click the button one last time. the generator lands on “love songs”. you two look at each other and as fast as lightning, your mouth opens as you sing, “나의 이쁜 이 맘 받아줄 수 있나요? Baby, 네 눈에 비친 우리, 너무나 좋은 걸,” and jungmo sings along with you, “이쁜 두 손잡고 , 멀리멀리 날아가고파. 오늘은, 유난히, 네가 이뻐 보인다.” you lean in, and peck his nose, “that song’s my favorite so far.” and jungmo looks away, a small smile growing on his face. he leans back and watches as you celebrate your victory, dancing a little, before pulling you into his lap, completely startling you. “I sang that verse better than you, maybe I should become a trainee, too.” then he kisses you square on the lips, without warning. you kiss his back, hands immediately coming up to cup his cheeks, and his hand rubs up and down your back. he pulls away, and smiles, “you would do lovely as a trainee, my flower. you sing really well, but I knew that already. you’d shine doing anything.” you blush and hide your face in his neck. he laughs and whispers, “hey, I love you.” and you leave a series of pecks on his shoulder and neck before mumbling loud enough against his skin, “I love you too.”
Number 17 with wonjin? Thank you!
hey there! thank you for requesting this! again, really sorry about the delay, I wrote more to overcompensate for the tardiness of this lolol I really hope you like it!!
17. he does something sweet for you.
[5:34 a.m.] you don’t usually wake up at the crack of dawn, but you heard some rustling in your home and by the time you had the energy to turn around in your bed to see what was going on, you heard a “shh, shh, shh, go back to sleep, y/n. I’m coming.” your boyfriend’s voice is heard, bouncing off the walls of the dark bedroom. you nod sleepily and throw your head back into your pillow, your slumber taking over you yet again. you stirred a bit in your sleep when you heard dragging feet against the hardwood in your room, followed by a dip of the bed near your feet. you squint your eyes to adjust your sight, and find wonjin sitting at the edge of your bed, with a cake and candles lit on the cake. “happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear y/n, happy birthday to you!” you can hear the fatigue in wonjin’s voice and he yawns so you get up quick and make a wish, before you blow out the candles. you switch on your lamp and ruffle wonjin’s hair. “thanks for this, baby.” you leaned in and planted your lips on his cheek softly. you feel him smiling, and then you pull back, before getting up and taking the cake. “where are you going?” wonjin follows you as you make your way towards your kitchen, then you open your fridge and pop the cake in. “you’re not going to have the cake now?” wonjin pouted begins you. you turn around and place your hands on his shoulders, and his instant response is to place his hands on your hips. “I need to start my day off with something sweet, so why should I have the cake when I have my sweetness right here?” wonjin smiles shyly at this and you kiss the tip of his nose. “let’s go to bed, wonjin, the cake can wait till tomorrow.”
you take his hand and lead the way back to your bed. you plop yourself down onto your mattress, and wonjin joins you a few seconds later. he pulls you close so that your head is resting on his chest and he kisses your forehead before sleep overtakes the both of you. the next morning, you wake up around 11:45 to find wonjin gone yet again. you get up out of bed and freshen up before leaving your bedroom. you head towards your kitchen because you hear sounds like sizzling and the sound when a metal spoon hits the sides of a mug. you lean against your kitchen counter and find an apron-clad wonjin, in the middle of flipping a pancake. he’s able to flip it perfectly, which causes him to throw a fist bump into the air. you laugh at his antics, and this captures his attention. “good morning, y/n! I’ve just finished making breakfast: your favorite pancakes, and coffee.” you give him a quick hug before helping him set your plates. you two sit on the stools in your kitchen and have your breakfast. “I think this is a good time to tell you that you should get ready as soon as you finish breakfast,” wonjin tells you in between sips of his coffee, “because I have the day planned out for us.” swallowing your bite on pancake, you tilt your head to the side in curiosity and ask him, “hmm, where are we going?” wonjin gives you a smug smile before kissing your forehead, “it’s a surprise.” soon, you and wonjin are on your way to an unknown destination (or at least unknown to you).
as wonjin drives you two there, you begin looking for any clues outside to tell you anything about where you’re going. you beam when you see the dead giveaway landmark of a giraffe: wonjin brought you to the zoo. this is your absolute favorite place, only because there’s a feeding station for your favorite animal and that is the panda feeding station. “wow! this is so nice, thank you!” wonjin smiles at your excitement and pulls out his camera. as you gush over the panda taking the bamboo stems from your hand, wonjin clicks a few pictures of you. he smiles down, satisfied with his photos, thinking that you look too cute. it’s a good couple of hours before wonjin tells you, “we have two more places to stop at.” you pout, because the animals all just look so adorable, but you nod understandingly. from there, you two leave the zoo and within ten minutes, wonjin stops the car. you look around and see that you two are at a food truck park, and wonjin has you wait in the car while he brings your absolute favorite: there’s a food truck that does killer tacos, and you claim that these are the best in the entire city. wonjin comes back shortly, and the smell of the tacos fill the car. you breathe in and exhale loudly, “they smell so good, my mouth is watering.” wonjin laughs at you squirming in your seat, and reaches over to take your hand and press it against his mouth. “just wait a little longer, my love.” and he drives for some time. you press your head against the window and see the sky slowly becoming a beautiful hue of pink, with splashes of orange. then, the car stops, knocking you out of your daze. “we’re here.” you focus on the surroundings: wonjin brought you to the beach. he pulls out your food and comes around to open your door.
“hold this, please,” he hands you a bag, and you peek inside. it’s got a blanket and a bottle of sparkling cider and two glasses. “let’s go.” wonjin grabs your free hand and you two find a nice place to sit, before laying the blanket down and setting yourselves on it. you eat your tacos over some small talk, and then as you are drinking your cider, staring out into the sunset, you face wonjin. “hey,” you softly whisper. he turns his head to look at you and you tell him sincerely, “thank you so much for today. this is probably one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had, all thanks to you. I love you so much.” and without missing a beat, you lean in and place a passionate kiss on wonjin’s mouth. you made sure to convey all the love you possibly could into the kiss, and wonjin definitely felt it because as soon as you two pulled apart, he tucked a loose strand of hair behind your ear, and pressed his lips against your forehead. he told you, “nothing but the best of the best for my princess.” and you two turned your faces back towards the sunset. you rested your head on wonjin’s shoulder and admiring it in all its beauty.
no. 2 w/ kim sihun? (pdx101) thank u! i love ur writing
hello! thanks for the request and super thanks for the compliment, I’m touched! also, the prompt is a little vague for personalizing purposes, just so I can choose what works for the muse, so hopefully you enjoyed this!
2. {insert cheesy pick up line} (original prompt)
for sihoon: “I think I’m suffering from a lack of vitamin you.”
[9:45 a.m.] work at dr. ahn’s office was the same every morning; you came in at nine and clocked in before checking any voicemails. then, you made the doctor’s schedule and gave it to him, debrief him about his day and go back to your desk. you made your coffee and sat down as you usually do when you get a call. “this is dr. ahn’s office, how may I help you?” your co-worker hana answers the phone. you faintly hear a male voice on the other end of the line, but hana then says, “do you need to see him right away? I can find out if he’s free.” you assume she’s referring to the doctor, so you check his schedule and see that he doesn’t have an appointment until 11. “he’s free ‘till 11,” you whisper to hana, and she gives you a thumbs up before relaying this information to the person on the phone. “okay, we will see you in 15 minutes then, sir. alright, bye-bye.” hana goes to let dr. ahn know about the appointment, and you see the notes she’s jotted down while she was on the phone call. scribbled down messily, you were able to decipher “EMERGENCY: FRACTURES ON BOTH WRISTS”. oh no, you think, I wonder what happened? hana comes back some minutes later, and you ask her, “do you know what happened to the patient?” she shakes her head and tells you, “I’m not sure. All I know is that he fractured both of his wrists. I asked him why, and he seemed somewhat reluctant to tell me, so now I’m more curious.” shrugging your shoulders, you get back to your work, typing away on your keyboard. by this time, one or two patients have come in, to which hana gives the necessary paperwork to complete. the clinic increasingly becomes busier but it’s nothing either your or hana can’t handle.
one by one, patients come and leave the office, with dr. ahn providing you with their prescriptions and bill. just as one patient was leaving with her child, a young man walked in, who looked like he was about your age, and he brought (you assume) his friend with him, who held the door open for him. the man’s hands were in a strange position and he clenched his jaw in pain. his friend came up to the counter. “hi, I called in earlier today, my friend fractured his wrists?” he’s incredibly handsome, you think and it seems hana can sense what you’re thinking, because she pushes the paperwork over to him and says, “can I have your friend come in? I will need to take his vitals.” the boy in front of you looks up at hana, before hodding and helping his friend through the door. once hana was able to take the patient into one of the rooms, the boy went and sat back down in the waiting area, filling out the form. you continued your work, and from time to time, snuck glances at the boy. smooth skin, a steep angle on his nose bridge and bright eyes are some of his many key points. he was gorgeous. you don’t wanna seem creepy or anything, because you don’t even know the guy so in embarrassment, you snap your eyes back onto your screen. “excuse me,” the boy is now in front of you. he bites down on his lip slightly, and you can see the shadow of a dimple imprinted into his cheek. “here’s the paper work.” he hands you the clipboard with the small stack of papers. you take it from him and mumble a small, but audible “thank you.” you begin typing in the information; it seemed that the patient’s name was eunsang, and the friend that brought him here (that you were ogling) was named sihoon. “do you mind if I ask you something?” you ask sihoon, who’s still standing at your counter. he blinks, motioning for you to continue. “what happened to your friend? he fractured both wrists; that’s not a very common injury. sure, we’ve seen one wrist fractured or the other but never both at the same time. sorry if I seem too invasive or anything, you don’t have to answer me if you don’t want to..” you notice a small smile growing on his face, then he clears his throat, “I shouldn’t make fun of it, but since you asked, eunsang tripped over a blanket.” sihoon tells you this, then bursts out laughing. you feel a tiny smile growing on your face before you scold yourself to not laugh at the discomfort of a patient. how rude of you. “really? that’s possible?” “can you believe it? I was at his house, then..” and from here, sihoon tells you the hilarious story of how he asked eunsang for a glass of water, and on his way back his feet got caught in his blanket and that’s how he fell.
you wipe the corners of your eyes, “although I shouldn’t be laughing at this at all, I never would have imagined that one small slip can cause such an injury.” just then, you hear dr. ahn coming out, walking alongside eunsang whose wrists now have casts on them, and behind the two of them is hana, who made copies of eunsang’s prescriptions and bill. “now eunsang, I’m going to need you to be very careful with your wrists, okay, no hard pressure and nothing too strenuous. I’m afraid you won’t be able to drive for a few days, so you will need to arrange for a ride.” as dr. ahn advised him, eunsang turned his head to sihoon, and jokingly said, “looks like you’re going to be my chauffeur.” sihoon laughed at this and his nose scrunched up all cute. you took note of this and eunsang thanked the doctor once more before heading out with sihoon. they stop by the door, and before they leave sihoon comes back to you, and your eyebrows shoot up as he gestured for you to come closer with his hand. you lean in an he tells you, “can I make an appointment with you, maybe tomorrow for some lunch? I think I’m suffering from a lack of vitamin you.” you chuckle at his cheesy pun, before taking a scrap of paper and jotting your number down. you hand him the note and say, “text me when you’re free, and we can arrange something.” sihoon leaves you with one last dimpled smile and a wave before heading back out with eunsang. who knew the things that would stem out of an injury like that?
could i get a 6 + lee jinwoo? with the reader being a few months younger then him :)
hello, thank you for the request! this was so fun to write, I had to think of a way to incorporate the “younger than him” part and so I did! I really hope you enjoy it!!
6. “I sing that verse better than you.”
[10:30 a.m.] walking out of the classroom, you just handed in your last final exam. you were officially finished with your first year of high school. things couldn’t be better for you: you were a good student throughout the year, you managed to keep your grades up and you got involved with one or two clubs. all while keeping your friendships intact. because you and all your friends had signed up for the same classes, you had each class with at least one of them. so for the class, you just took the final for, some of your friends were in there. you guys made plans to go to the bowling alley after the exam, then to the karaoke rooms. you guys were going to live it up- according to the law, at least- because hell, you all deserved it. one by one, your friends were coming out of their final exam rooms: first, it was dohyun, then you, then chaeyeon, then yoojin and wonyoung, and finally, jinwoo. “we’re done!” chaeyeon exclaims and all of you make some congratulatory sounds, whether it’s a scream or a small “whoop”. “now what? where are we going?” dohyun asks, backpack hanging loosely on one of his shoulders. you all leave the school building together, looking around for a bus. luckily, one is coming around the corner so you all run to get to the bus stop. “you guys wanna go get tteokbokki?” wonyoung suggests, and you give her a thumbs up. “sounds good to me. what about everyone else?” once you hear collective agreements from the group, you guys get onto the bus and head to your favorite tteokbokki place. once you reach there, you guys grab a table and check out the menu. “so, who’s paying?”
yoojin smiles smugly, and says, “the oldest pays. I was born in december so it’s not me.” you also back off since you’re also born in december. “dohyun’s in november and I’m in october.” wonyoung says. chaeyeon pouts as she says, “I’m in august.” hearing this, jinwoo breathes out a sigh of relief, “I’m in september.” and that’s how chaeyeon ended up paying for you guys’ tteokbokki meal (but you all chipped in on her karaoke and bowling fees to make up for it). everyone is talking about their exams once the waiter leaves with your order. some are saying how it went well, some… not so well. your eyes catch jinwoo as he’s laughing about something yoojin says. your heart starts hammering in your chest and you’re not sure why. “so, what are your plans for the summer, y/n?” wonyoung asks, and there’s a slight glint of mischief in her eyes but you don’t pay too much attention to it. “mom’s making me prep for the next school year so I have a tutor, but besides that I don’t have any major plans.” “hmmm, what about your love life?” this seems to catch everyone’s attention and you feel the heat rising to your cheeks. “no, I probably won’t even have time for that.” wonyoung’s grin intensifies, “but there must be someone you’re interested in. maybe that someone is a lot closer than you think.” you’re a flustered mess and from the corner of your eye, you can see jinwoo looking at you, and before you reply to anything, he flatly says, “knock if off, wonyoung. she’s already stressing out over other things, don’t bug her about this too.” you give a jinwoo a grateful smile and wonyoung huffs, “okay, sorry y/n.” when the steaming pot of tteokbokki arrives, you all dig in. laughing, gossiping and having fun is what the meal consists of. when you all finish eating, you chaeyeon pays, and then you guys head over to the bowling alley. you’re not as excited for bowling as you are for singing, though because jinwoo has an incredible voice. he sings the best out of your group, and more than once you’ve told him that he’s got a gift. his response was always the same: a blush on his cheeks with a toothy smile, and a quiet “thank you”. it was the cutest thing ever, and you never got tired of it.
bowling ended the way you expected it to: with yoojin and dohyun fighting for first place and then dohyun winning and running it in everyone’s face. but it’s all fun and games, because now you’re heading to the karaoke room. the dark room with the flashy lights greet you as you walk in and shut the door. “who’s going first?” your hand shoots up, along with jinwoo’s. yoojin hands the controller to you, and you scroll through the endless list of songs, and stop at “dream” by suzy and baekhyun. “let’s do this one.” your eyes find jinwoo, who nods and smiles, “let’s do it.” your friends cheer as the song starts off with jinwoo’s voice. once you start singing, jinwoo’s eyes look at you with an emotion you can’t really point out. you shift your attention back to the screen and continue to sing, and when both of you sing together, your eyes focus on your friends, who’ve now taken out their phones and have their flashlights on, waving them side to side. once the song is over, your friends erupt in applause and you see jinwoo coming closer to you, “you did good,” he smiles. you giggle, “you didn’t do too bad yourself, as always.” then you two take a seat as yoojin goes up and sings “chewing gum”. you both are sitting and singing along, and when it get to the chorus, you tell jinwoo, “I sing that verse better than you, ha!” you stick your tongue out playfully and continue to sing. jinwoo just smiles at you, his eyes displaying that unrecognizable emotion yet again. “you know,” he starts, “you’ve gotten a lot better at singing too. maybe we should test your skills one day, by coming back here sometime later.” you look at him and tilt your head, “oh yeah? how did you wanna test that?” the side of his mouth quirks up and he leans in and whispers, “I’ll choose your songs and you’ll have to sing them. deal?” he stuck out his hand and you shook it. then it clicks, and you stutter out, “wait, are you saying we’ll come here... like as in a date?” thankful he’s in a dark room so you can’t see the red tinge on his face, he nods, and says, “I like you, y/n, and I would really like to take you out soon. I hope you feel the same way.” you look down and grab his free hand, before intertwining your fingers and smiling up at him. “I would love to go out with you.” and needless to say, you can testify that things really could be better for you, now that you had things to look forward to in the summer.
10 & hwang yunseong? ♡♡
hello, thanks for the request! I hope you like it!! this is the LAST mystery drabble request, so I hope I ended it on a good note :)
10. he comes to you for… advise on how to ask someone out (the catch: he’s trying to ask you out)
[4:21 p.m.] the student traffic is long gone, as you wait by your locker for yunseong to arrive. the boy got caught up with the art club, because they needed help with transporting things from the art teacher’s car to the art room, and you know how it was probably hard for him to say ‘no’; it always has been and will be. you came to know yunseong since elementary school, in fact he’s your best friend. or so you tell yourself, at least. because there are times when he sits next to you, intently listening to the story your friends narrate that you pay attention to his side profile, and how you’ve never really noticed the curve of his adam’s apple, the crinkles at the corners of his eyes when he smiles. these are all things that you know you’ve started noticing, but you can’t bring yourself to say that maybe you do like yunseong. but that’s never going to be a thing, right? you and yunseong have always been friends and you know it’ll always be that way. “finally,” you call out as his silhouette becomes clearer and he’s briskly walking back to you. “sorry I kept you waiting, the art teacher had so many cans of paint in her car. I thought it was endless.” you laugh and the both of you leave the beige building, and head to your car. it was a tradition that the two of you’ve kept up for a little over three years but every tuesday, after school was over you would go get boba. this was your thing, and most of the time it would even be the highlight of your week because all you really spend your time doing is school work or work at your part-time.
you two sit in your car and yunseong messes around with the radio while you reverse in the school parking lot. eventually, he settles on letting iu’s “palette” play through the muffled speakers of your car. “y/n, can I ask for some advice?” you’re at a red light, and you’re glad otherwise you might’ve braked the car while you were still driving. “…there’s a girl, that I’m interested in, and I’m not sure how to ask her out. do you think you can help me out?” you tried not to let the disappointment show on your face, but you didn’t do too good of a job because yunseong immediately asks, “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you about it before, I just had to be sure that I liked her.” you go along with yunseong’s statement and lie, “at least you told me now, rather than later. hmm, do you have an idea of how you want it to go?” yunseong smiles before he replies. “all I know is that I want to ask her out in a cute way. something that makes her heart flutter,” and yunseong’s ears go pink at this. “gosh, y/n I don’t know what to do. tell me: if someone were to ask you out, how would you want them to do it? you answer that and I’ll come up with something based off of that for her,” you nod, before you park your car and see the familiar neon sign in your peripheral vision. “firstly, I’d like for a guy to give me something, maybe like a single flower or even like a bag of hot cheetos, because that’s the kind of junk foodie I am.” yunseong snorts, “true,” which earns him a small shove on the arm. “hey! anyways, I’d like for it to happen when there aren’t many people around. maybe just me and him, I think that’s very romantic. finally, a sweet gesture at the end of his confession would seal the deal for me. that’s the sweetest thing ever!” you look up in wonder and don’t notice the way yunseong is admiring you as an artist admired their favorite work of art. you shrugged before looking at yunseong, who whipped his head back towards the front, and looked away. “tell me how your confession goes, and tell me if she says yes. she’d be an idiot if she says no, she won’t know what she’d be missing out on.” yunseong smiles and ruffles your hair, and your hands immediately go up to fix it as he opens the door to the tea house, letting you go in first.
it’s been about a week since yunseong shared his secret with you. to say the least, your heart has been hurting, and not because he didn’t tell you about it. he’d always seen you as a friend and he always will. you smile a bittersweet grin when the image of his eyes lighting up just talking about the girl presents itself in front of you. she won’t know how lucky she is, that’s for sure. it’s been hard to not think about it, and soon you’d start seeing less of yunseong. that’s where the pain felt worse: when you thought about yunseong not being by your side any longer. you’re thinking all of this, waiting for yunseong once again to meet you by your locker, when you see him. he walks slowly this time, hands behind his back. he keeps biting his lip and his eyes are shooting across the hallway, not looking at you. as he finally comes in front of you, with a deep inhale, yunseong tells you, “y/n, this is for you.” from behind his back, his hands come up to reveal a single sunflower in one hand and a bag of hot cheetos in the other. your eyes widen as yunseong starts, “remember when I asked you for advice on how to confess to someone? well, that someone, if you haven’t figured it out yet, is you. I’ve liked you for so long, and I just want to be able to call you mine. will you go out with me?” your eyes peer up at his, and you smile wide as you except the items before wrapping your arms around his neck and pulling him into a tight hug. “yes, yunseong, i’ll go out with you.” relieved, he lets out a sigh and reciprocates the hug. “I can’t believe you said yes.” you pull back from the hug and yunseong ticks some stray hairs behind your ear. “I can’t believe the world’s most beautiful girl is mine.” and this marked the beginning of one of the most beautiful relationships you’ve had the privilege to be a part of, and you couldn’t be happier.
