I'm watching Foolish vods and I noticed that on day 25, Leo mentioned that Bad's sweep attack almost killed her, but he just thought she was overreacting, to think they could have solved the glitch so much earlier if they had just listened to Leo that day, it wouldn't have undone the damage, but it would have been nice to know so early

Headcannon that the reason the eggs can't speak is because dragons can be VERY LOUD, and babies even more so, so to make it so that baby dragons don't give themselves away because they're too small to defend themselves, dragons don't properly grow into their vocal chords until later on. They can still make some noise, maybe even a word or two, but at this age they're more adapted to mimicking the sounds of the nature around them (another defence mechanism)
