San Antonian finds Texas oak tree thought to be extinct

Quercus Tardifolia hasn't been seen in Big Bend's National Park for 12 years.

That's so cool! And they found a few of them, and they're now growing seedlings in greenhouses for eventual replanting!

Quercus tardifolia is a relic species leftover from when the climate was much cooler and wetter in the past, and can only really live in a few high-elevation spots in Texas. It's definitely still at risk of extinction due to increasing heat and drought caused by climate change, but the discovery means this species still has a chance.

um here’s just a few off the top of my head eeee

-post-disorder diaries, Jin reads to Mugen a lot. He's not even sure if Mugen's listening at first, he just starts reading aloud more or less. Mugen tries not to be obvious with the fact he’s listening until something happens and Mugen references the text Jin read. I think Jin would generally lean more towards poetry but he starts to look for things he thinks Mugen would like after a while.

-I think in a modern au Jin writes his name with its kanji, as is pretty common, but Mugen writes his in katakana ‘because it looks cool’ (also his name kanji has so many strokes and he ain't got time for all that)

-Jin’s awful at cooking, as we know, but I think Mugen just assumes he’d be good at it (“thank god you can cook because I can’t” “...”)

-autism be damned my boy can't work a grill for shit
