Another day of beautiful exploration along the North Inlet region in Georgetown county. A 6 mile round trip to the southern-most tip starting in South DeBordieu Beach.
Living on the coast means you find creative ways to use your conch shells. Gotta make sure my squash gives my little tomato some room to grow.
This is a mermaid fairy bottle filled with found fresh water shells, blue kyanite and lapis lazuli. Comes on a faux suede cord with a lobster clasp closure. Kyanite is great for meditation. The Shell Grotto at Margate.In 1835 Mr James Newlove lowered his son Joshua into a hole in the ground that had appeared during the digging of a duck pond. Joshua emerged describing tunnels covered with shells. 70ft of winding underground passages leading to an oblong chamber, its walls decorated with strange symbols mosaiced in millions of shells. Nobody can explain who built this amazing place, or why.
